The service was horrendous, the only explaination is that management allows it.  I nearly bumped into a waitress walking with a full tray behind me.  It was packed standing room only.  This waitress glared and gave me the evil eye like I was in a high school hallway and bumped into a bully.  She was glaring for at me a VERY long time.  I should have left then.  I shouldn't have let it get to me, but was very intimidated and scared.  Even though i smiled and tried to brush it off I  thought this girl was going to come after me for not seeing her.  She was behind me, she should have looked out for me.  This girl was of some ethnicity other than Caucasian.  To add to my terrible rum runners experience was a terror of a bar tender.  She apparently thought I was not going to leave her a tip, because I took the $2 change she gave me and took it off the bar.  I was going to add to it, is why I took it off the bar.  Probably not a good choice, but I did have a few drinks so I wasn't 100%.  The bartender girl slammed her hand on the bar and cocked her head looked me in the eyes and said "OH AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH". And stormed off.  These two girls ruined my experience.  I will be contacting management about these two girls.  I will never go back.

Alcohol, fun atmosphere, what more do you need? I bumped off one star because it's in a tourist trap (let's be honest, Baytowne Wharf is kind of like Downtown Disney), and I can't "love" it for that reason.

Rum Runners was a pleasant surprise.

The one man "I can play anything" guy was just getting started when we arrived in the early evening (6ish), he was good, a lot of fun and truly did play all the songs we requested or at least a piece of a song like Eddie Murphy's Party All The Time-yes, we tried to stump him :) I guess he's the warm up for the dueling piano show, which we didn't stick around to see. We had a 3 year old with us and you could tell the vibe was starting to change as the night went on, not in a bad way just not for a youngster.

The food & drinks were good and reasonably priced, the service excellent. I'm sure I won't come again until more out of towners visit but when they do this will be on my list of places to bring them.

Had the Caesar salad with fried shrimp and my husband had the fried shrimp platter with fries and pups.   Best shrimp we've had out in years, perfectly cooked. Tender and not over cooked. Waitress attentive but not overbearing. Saturday at 2 pm. Soccer on the bigscreen inside or lovely weather out. I will be back.

The ambience was fun and I enjoyed the piano players. The service was friendly but not very quick considering there were very few people in the restaurant. The food was definitely below average for the area. I had a grouper sandwich that tasted very "fishy" and if that was what they call blackened I'd hate to taste how bland the regular grilled would be.

The food was pretty good. And you can't beat sitting outside, enjoying the weather, Christmas music and lights.

But the service was awful. Almost no one else there, but we were allowed to sit there with empty drinks for 20 minutes plus. (And we're talking alcoholic drinks here, not cups of water!) They also got my dinner order wrong. And forgot to give us our discount until reminded.

In summary, I doubt I'll go back.

Went here after 10pm for their bar with live music.  The dueling pianos were good and very entertaining.  We had lots of fun.  Good atmosphere.

Part of a "gated compound." Don't go here for the food, as it was below average. The piano bar is fun, but if you have ever seen one, you have seen them all. Might be fun for a group of 1st timers, but the routines are old and tired. Beers are $4.50 and up for a domestic bottle. This area is nothing but a tourist trap, and you can do much better the Destin area.

This place was in walking distance to our condo/hotel/whatever on the Sandestin Resort.  We had a really fun waiter.  I noticed the little buckets hanging around the bar, and our waiter said the rum runner was their signature drink.  Makes sense.  That thing was so good.  It was one of those where you didn't taste the alcohol, but by the end we were all pretty tipsy.

I ordered a salad and the crab cakes, and both were pretty delicious.  I had a taste of the fried crawfish and that was delicious as well.

We tried to go back later that night for the dueling pianos, and the vibe of the place was off.  I'm not really a fan of the dueling pianos anyway so whatevs.

Definitely a memorable and enjoyable afternoon with a cool souvenir bucket to take home that I'll never use again.  Ha!

Food was decent and the service was ok.  Love the dueling pianos.  Just be sure that if you have kids with you, that you are aware that they kick the kids out at 10.

We've been on a previous occasion and the waitress took another round of drink orders at 9:45 and then they kicked us out at 10.  Hopefully it was just an oversight on the wait staff's part and she wasn't just trying to get a higher bar tab in there.

I do think the no kids after 10 rule should be displayed around the restaurant.

If you are out of there by 10, it is a fun place.

The service was great the waitress  was super friendly and fast.I had the ahi tuna and it was incredible! Was seasoned with peppers on the side and the plate was decorated with soy sauce and a spicy sauce. The seaweed salad underneath was so yummy as well.My mom ordered the mahi mahi burger grilled and again that's another must! They also sell drinks to go which gives it another plus I will be visiting this place again.

    Update
Service and food was just as good the second time around

Entertainment was good.  There was a really nice bartender when we went.  Drink prices are very high.  Food was horrible.  This is a bar not a restaurant.   Eat (and drink) somewhere else in the village before coming in for the show.

Great seafood specials and the live entertainment was great.  Amazing guitar player.

Do not go to this bar! They stole our money and they were really rude. The piano players were not good singers and there was this old sweaty employee who kept taking pictures with his cell phone of really young girls. The whole experience was creepy.
