Mmmmmmeatballs! they sell a mix here that is so delicious. We (actually, my husband) make spaghetti & meatballs fairly often, and we always get the ingredients from S&T's. (Then you can make sandwiches the next day!) The prices are reasonable, too. Expect crowds, this place is popular.
Review Source:What S&T offers is something unique in today's world. Â I speak of the "mini pizza set ups." Â You can get sausage or pepperoni with your set ups - both are very good. Â Everyone really enjoys making their own pizza and tossing it in the oven - about 12 minutes and YUM! Â While the kids don't care for it I toss some sliced onions and green peppers on my mini-pizza.
You can't go wrong trying this place out. Â But don't be surprised as it's not the biggest place and it's not the fanciest place. Â Additionally some of the workers "appear" not to be all that happy (maybe they are just focused on their jobs). Â Regardless, I still give the place 5 stars as I haven't found anywhere else that offers something so fun and delicious!
The pizza set ups are inexpensive and fun to make. The kids always enjoy making their own with their own toppings on the individual set ups.
It is very crowded at times and the parking lot seems to fill up but the time spent in the store is a short time. Their counter help is great and very helpful.
Great little deli!
The pizza set ups are fun. Â I wouldn't say the pizza itself is great, but the experience of making your own pizza is a fun one.
For under $15 you can get the fixings for 3 pizzas, plus a ton of extras. Â Their sausage is evidently the best out there. Â
Small parking lot next to the building can get crowded.
When you walk in the store, grab a number and get in line. Â It's appreciated to have your order ready by the time you're going to be helped, but the staff is great at answering your questions. Â Even on a busy Saturday morning, you can be in, out and on your way in 10 minutes.
Due to my dad loving this place I ate these pizzas 90% of fridays from childhood to young adulthood. "Its pizza friday, woo!"
This is the best pizza I've had to date! The fact that you make it yourself is wonderful. I bought a pizza set-up for superbowl this year. 3 pizzas for $13.99. Absolutely wonderful.
They also sell personal size. Perfect if you're having a kids party. Each kid makes their own pizza!
Their pizza set ups beat most pizza places I've been to. Â Their sausage and meatballs are also the best in the area for sure.
I dont know if they still have this going but a few years back there was a shack like building attached to the back of the store (alley front) that should cooked food. Â If they still do this the meatball sandwiches I used to get from there (used S&T meatball mix) was the best I've eaten. Â I'll check it out in a couple of weeks when I get back to Chicago and give an update.
I always get a taste for pizza on Sundays & I've wanted to try S&T for some time. So yesterday (Saturday) as I was driving by I decided to stop in. The place was crowded, probably due to Superbowl parties. I wasn't sure how to proceed, but the girls behind the counter were very helpful, she walked me through the process from start to end(it's really pretty easy.) You buy all the ingredients to bake at home. I bought the sausage pizza set up & also picked up some extra hot & garlic Irish sausage. The price was very reasonable. I then went out & bought a pizza stone( ceramic plate to cook the pizza on.) I doctored up the sauce a little, some garlic, basil, cinnamon. The pizza came out great, crisp crust, good flavor, extra cheese. I also made one with mushrooms & peppers. You get 3 set ups so you can play around with different toppings. All in all a great pizza for a great price & a lot of fun to make. If you're in the area, stop by.
