This is really more of a 3.5 star place, but I'm feeling generous today. I've been here several times and I've always left happy.

This place is not authentic. It's a neighborhood restaurant with nice strong margaritas. This is not a place to travel to. I go because I live in the area and enjoy getting tipsy on tequila. I think if you keep that in mind it's a 4 star experience. I stick with basics- The taco norteno being my favorite. It's breaded steak in a flour tortilla topped with fresh avocado slices and sour cream. The flan is some of the best I've had! Be vsure to order that as well.

My only gripe about my last time here was I felt rushed. Our server was really nice until the end I really felt like we were being pushed out. I'm sorry, but when I spend $81 on basic Mexican food I feel I'm entitled to sit for 65 minutes. I don't like rushing!

There aren't many options in the Mt. Greenwood/Beverly area for great Mexican food and I am spoiled as I lived on the North side for the last 14 years! La Fiesta has this area by the balls for lack of a better term because there really aren't any great sit down Mexican restaurants in the south area and I'll pass on Casa Margartia in Orland, that place is nothing to rave about either. Their margaritas are ok, clearly some faux fruit margarita flavoring that is over colored; they don't have horchata as they must be too high class for that; they don't have micheledas which are a traditional mexican beer cocktail.

Their chips are good, their salsa is so mild a 2 year old can eat it which is great if you bring your kids I guess. I have had their carne asada dinner cut up and sauteed with onions, peppers, melted cheese and it was decent along with a combination plate of taco, enchilada, tamale, all were fair.

The place definitely caters to a non Latino population out here and maybe that is why they are still around as the area has no idea what true authentic mexican food should taste like, but again, we don't have options out here so I guess we will take what we can get. Better yet, for real mexican food in a quick sit down place, we will sometimes drive north on Pulaski to places like El Solazo.

This place, is what it is, nothing more. Sorry folks.

had the enchalidas, cheese... were very good.
Service was sloppy.... our server was more intrested in flirting with the bartender than attending our tables needs.
You could tell there was no manager on duty.... all the staff gossiping in the corner of the bar with one another, if there was a manager on duty they should fired for running a muck.
Entree was good, rice and beans were also ok..... chips and salsa were good.
