my fiance and i were on the southside picking out wedding bans and the ladies at the store recommended wonderburger. before we stepped in, we could already smell the greasy goodness. $5 for a juicy double cheeseburger with grilled onions + curly fries. even the grilled chicken salad was surprisingly scrumptious. the restaurant itself definitely reminded me of a good ol' american diner and the food complimented the setting quite well.
Review Source:Overall I would have to say I like the Wonderburger but it is far from being one of the best. I appreciate the tradition of a old school neighborhood joint so at least it shows something for a place that can stay in business fire so long.
The place in small and very divey. It send like its always high school kids taking the orders and working the grill. The burgers are very good not to small but bit to big, juicy and come wrapped in paper just like the old days. But the fries always seem to disappoint me. Compared to the other burgers you can get in the area I would choose Wonderburger every time, but they are far from the best.
