  it still looks like Bennigan's inside and out. The service is far worse. It is as if everyone is on some type of downer. By no means is this the place to go if you need to get in and out. However, the food is good. Many dishes are very good. Had the service been better and the prices not so above market, it would be a weekly stop. But no, it will not be a weekly stop, it will be a rare stop for when we have nothing better to do. Prices were way too high for portion, service, and quality. Honestly, I think their days are limited.

  I came here with my fiance for lunch shortly after their grand opening. It was 12:30 on a Saturday and the parking lot was completely empty. For a moment, we actually thought that maybe they opened later and that we simply were there too early. Such was not the case.
  
  We were seated by a very friendly waiter in what appeared to be a completely vacant restaurant. Upon looking around we soon started realizing a few of Salute's problems.
  The menu is tiny. I believe in playing to your strengths but if all you're capable of is a hand full of panini sandwiches and a few pasta dishes then maybe you should hit the drawing board a little harder because that was it for the menu. No, it was not a lunch menu, it was their FULL menu.
  The waiter came back for our order and asked if we would like some fresh oil to dip our bread into A la Bertucci's. What sounded like a tasty distraction quickly turned into 5 minutes of awkward silence because he slowly and methodically pieced together the oil with the spices and then slowwwwwly grated the cheese into the oil...zzzzzzzzz. It doesn't sound like it would take long but believe me, IT TOOK A WHILE. We could tell he felt uncomfortable and we could tell that he could tell we were uncomfortable which made the whole thing unbearably awkward as hell.
  For lunch I had a panini which was merely ok and my fiance didn't seem terribly excited with her pasta. Nothing had any real flare. Lets be honest, it was just a basic panini and some pasta with marinara. Had there been more to choose from then maybe I'd have more to say.
  
  The decor is 100% lifted from Home Goods with no real direction in style. The wall of our booth had a huge hole with wires coming out of it, however, it was cleverly and discreetly masked with duct tape..........
  
  Sorry Salute, you're that one restaurant that I was really hoping would be a fresh and exciting addition to the area. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.
