Went here to watch game 7 of the NBA Finals. It was packed by 8:30 pm. A little bit of everyone in the crowd. Young, old, black and white. At first glance I was not overly impressed. I am a stickler for matching furniture and decor in any restaurant (yes even a sports bar). We had a party of ten. They covered a pool table with a plastic sheet to accomodate us. Ummmmm ok... So now to rate the service. I asked for a drink menu and was told that they did not have one. The bartenders just make up the drinks. Hello Management you are probably losing money. Like other reviewers we had to ask for water several times (you will need this after their Long Island- the strongest I have ever had) and when it came to settling our tab I had to walk around and find our server twice...once to ask for the check and again to pay her. Despite the negatives I think this place has potential. The DJ was great. Drinks were strong. Food was decent-nothing to write home about. I will have to try it out during football season. That will be the real test. They also have Karaoke on Tuesday. I will try that at least once as well.
Review Source:Food took wayyyyyyyy too long to come. Â As I sit at the bar and watch the cooks just chill and survey the crowd, I'm sitting there like ummm breh...can u make my food please?????
Bartender was mad nice. Â No reason why I should have to wait 20+ minutes for a chicken cheese steak with fries, when the place wasn't even that busy at that point!!!
The cheese steak was okay, kinda too soft for my taste. Â I would like my bread to be a little toasted to give contrast to the softness of the meat and veggies. Â The sweet potato fries were burnt.
Good crowd for a sporting event (they came after my food did). Â Beer is cold, so I would stick to that if I return.
Oh yeah...the place is kinda small. Ok bye.
Good food but don't go here if you're trying to watch a game. There are tons of TVs but during commercials the DJ plays music so loud that you can't hear and the floor vibrates the seats. This would be great for a club but not for a Sunday afternoon. Slow service-it took 20 minutes to get a glass of water and food was extremely delayed. If you do go, don't let Shayilia be your server. Never had service so bad.
Review Source:Shayilia - WORST SERVER EVER. She consistently got orders wrong, was incapable of carrying two things at once, was nowhere to be found 90% of the time and ignored us when we tried to get her attention. We aren't picky people - we were just there to watch the game anyway - but her service was so awful it became almost funny. How long does it take a waitress to grab some ketchup? Trick question - Shayilia doesnt think you need ketchup, even after you remind her twice.
The food was also disappointing. Not awful - but nothing interesting or worth coming out for. I had lemon pepper wings - could have easily gotten better wings at Kroger. But wings are wings I guess.
Also the MUSIC is so incredibly loud. Dance club loud, no lie. They have a DJ who I guess couldn't make it in the club world, and now resorts to pumping bass at a mediocre restaurant. Maybe to distract from the poor service? I dunno, but the bass makes my food bounce.
Two stars are for:
-Food that's edible
-Excited crowd to be around while watching the game. (Not that Scoreboard deserves credit for that, but it was entertaining.)
