Truely the best pub i've ever been to. Rockstar bartenders, service is great. You're drink is never empty. Great atmosphere to go meet people or hang out with friends. Love this pub!

OK, I think I have tried all of the bars in downtown LS...at least all of the ones I now know of. Sharkeez is my favorite, and my girlfriend agrees. It just has a really comfortable, laid back vibe. It's clean and open. The bartenders are friendly. Mixed drinks tend to be poured liberally. Prices are fair. Parking is easy.

    Bravo, Sharkeez.

Even though I live super near this bar, I hadn't gone in until this past spring's Emerald Isle Pub Crawl.  Only problem is, if you started at the other end of downtown at Tavern on Green (which we did), that makes Sharkeez the second to last pub on the crawl, maybe number 11 or 12.  If you do the math, that means you can probably figure that my observational powers were not at their most sharply honed and keenly tuned in by the time we rolled on in.

That said...I do remember popcorn.   I do remember cleanliness. I'm pretty sure I remember a free shot from the bartender to both BF and I (because clearly, we were in desperate need by that point).   I seem to remember two side-by-side toilets in the ladies' room (not two stalls, just two side-by-side commodes.  But that can't be right...can it?

Anyway...nice neighborhood watering hole.  Good middle-of-the-roader...not too trendy/douchey, not too scuzzy/shabby.  Just right.

I'll reserve one star for another time when I go back and am feeling a bit more...observant.

Sharkeez is my *ideal* bar. It's the quintessential example of what a true bar should strive to be like. If being a productive, responsible adult didn't interrupt my social life, I'd be a regular.

There are three pivotal factors that determine the fate of a bar:
    1.) the bartenders
    2.) the atmosphere/crowd
    3.) the drinks

I declare without any skepticism, that Sharkeez is the perfect model of, well, the perfect bar. Sharkeez is like the Bradley Cooper of Lee's Summit. (and if you don't know who Bradley Cooper is, then I suggest you crawl out from under your hermit shell and take a nice long look at his picture via Google. The man is a work of ART.) Attractive yet clever, playful yet sassy, friendly but cynical.

Sharkeez is a remarkable bar in downtown Lee's Summit. Most 20-something year old's enjoy spending their evenings shoulder to shoulder bumpin' to the beats of Gaga down the street at The Peanut. No Gaga at Sharkeez though. Instead, you can kick back and chill to the classic tunes of the 70's. It's an inviting bar that boasts an admirable charm to their laid back atmosphere.

Sharkeez brings in a mix of crowds--college kids, the seasoned regulars, mommy and daddy's night out, sports fanatics, the jagged old time rougher's, etc. They really don't cater to a specific "type" of bar goer and for that, I thank them. The owner is seriously SUCH a nice guy and is willing to work with you to make any and all drinks. Just as long as you're happy, he's happy. Him and his small clan of bartenders strive to make each guest feel at home. Kick back and relax--you're at Sharkeez.

As soon as you walk in, you'll be greeted with the strong scent of buttered popcorn. That's because the owner is constantly popping batches of popcorn for customers. Walk right up to the carousel looking popcorn maker and grab yourself a bowl or five. It's some of the most addicting popcorn I've ever had--and it's always free. Free munchies at a bar is truly a beautiful concept.

On a final note, Sharkeez is clean, clean, clean. It's not a dive, a dump, or a hole in the wall. It may be a small space, but they also house an outdoor patio at the end of their narrow building. This place is a respectable, neighborhood bar where a mixture of people gather to have a good time. Flashy it is not; Sharkeez is clean, relaxed, and good feelin'.

Sharkeez is their name, and friendly is their game.

Sharkeez is edging the competition for a go-to local, chill bar in downtown Lee's Summit.  I mean that it's a good place to get a cold beer or five and watch the game, or counsel your friend through their most recent breakup/STD, or to take the edge off the fact that you work two part time jobs and needed to shake out the cushions to cover your tab.

Whatever the reason, Sharkeez is good bet for a relaxing evening.  Order another beer and forget about the trainwreck of a name that banners the bar, and think about the Amtrak that runs behind the bar and it's new patio, and do your best to not pass out on the tracks

Sharkeez is a great place.  We typically try not to stay to late because it does get over crowded due to its size.  Very narrow bar and tough to walk through.  The bartendars all rock and you can expect a free shot every once in awhile.  We tend to go back and forth between here and the Do Drop Inn which is right across the street.  Two differnt bars but both are the best in DT Lees Summit.

This is a nice little pub in downtown Lee's Summit.   It has a fun decor and is very clean.   I visited on the day after St. Patrick's Day and got what was just about the last of their Guinness.    The bartender was a nice guy with a good sense of humor.

As more people began to arrive, it became clear that this is a popular neighborhood hangout.   More upscale than Do Drop Inn across the street, but without being too pretentious about it.
