Sharky's closed at the first of the year (2013), according to their Facebook page.
I quit going there after being a semi-regular for quite a while, due to the deterioration of the quality of the food. Â A couple of years ago, the burgers were the best in a five-mile radius. Â Then, the burgers began a steady decline that couldn't justify the price.
Service pretty much was always chaotic and slow, although the staff was pleasant enough. Â And as somebody else said, cleanliness wasn't, apparently, a high priority, as the tables and booths were mostly of dubious cleanliness, if not outright nasty.
These are tough economic times and if a business doesn't cut it, they won't and don't deserve to make it. Â Sharky's, at one time, cut it, but they got lazy and gave up on providing the quality for the prices that they asked. Â Resting on your laurels isn't a good business plan, especially when that business is located in the dead Twilight Zone on Davis Highway around the I-10 interchange. Â I assiduously avoid that area, unless I can't.
Went here for dinner one night and got the buffalo chicken wrap. The food was pretty good and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere isn't so great. Place kind of reminds me of a redneck bar. If you want to listen to nickleback on continuous loop then this might be the place for you.
Review Source:Food was decent but nothing to write home to mom about. I went there because I was staying in the area and decided to try out the cheese steak. The steak was very tender but the sauce was plain and the bun was just ok. The atmosphere is 80s dive bar. I wasn't bad but I probably would never go back.
Review Source:Like a smaller version of Buffalo Wild Wings but with better food (menu created by an Exec. Chef) and waitresses dressed in skimpy outfits. Great place to watch the game or ufc fight, plus they have a beer pong room in the back. TVs @ every table, plus a huge projector screen TV. This is by far the best sports bar in Pensacola, and it's locally-owned.
