Came here the night of Thanksgiving (the youngins in the family wanted to get out for a bit!), and had a great time! "Thankful" they were actually open on Thanksgiving ;-)
We played about an hour and a half of pool - they have SEVERAL pool tables here. Regular ones, and the smaller bar pool tables. It only cost $15 to rent the table! We bought two pitchers, each only about 10 bucks. The crowd here was pretty chill, and was quite diverse. A great way to end a wonderful holiday :)
If I'm ever in the area again and in the mood for pool, I wouldn't mind hitting this place up again!
I dont know why I really like this bar - I dont play pool haha and thats its main thing, but EVERY time I come here I have a good time no matter what. Â The bartenders are really nice and knowledgeable; Im not a big drinker, but she always has suggestions for whatever your tolerance is haha. Â I got two drinks: a sex on the beach and an irish car bomb and my total tab was only $14.50, not too bad. Â The food is pretty ok too. Â I like to go on Wednesdays because there is karaoke :D Â This is as unpretentious as it gets, it's a good time for sure!
Review Source:For the Billiards enthusiast: I give this place a 5 (since I can't give that 4.5). They cater to the players, have tournaments that run through the week, and the tables are great quality. Pricing is fair.
For everyone else: I give this place 3.5 stars. Chill little hang out, but you'd think their prices on food and drinks would be a bit cheaper. Nonetheless, check it out for yourself.
As one of the last remaining pool halls open since I have been a college student at UCR, Shooters remains strong and attracts pool enthusiasts across Riverside and the IE. Â
If you play tournaments, they have quite a few selections such as the monday and wednesday 9ball tournament as well as a saturday tournament (dont know the exact details on that day). Â
The quality of their tables are good and their house cues are okay. Â Their pricing is affordable as well.
I use to go here weekly when I played on a 9 ball team. Actually a pretty nice place. It is older so some of the tables look old, but they keep the tables nice. You can tell the owners like to shoot and the place stays nice. THe poeple are cool. I've only ordered food a few times and it was okay. They have tournaments so definately a cool place to go in Riverside.
Review Source:It's not great but it's a decent pool place. The people working there are nice. I do enjoy that they are mainly focus on pool. So many pool table to play on . The food price was pretty high for the quality. I price of beer was pretty decent. All in all I would go back if I can't find something better
Review Source:A decent place and clean restrooms make for a good experience.
Drink prices are okay.
Staff is cordial and friendly.
But let me tell you (and I don't condone this but I have been witness countless times with the mates I share company with)
If you are looking for a cheap boozy one night stand hook up, then make this place your stomping ground.
If you want to hook up with average to less than average girls and ensure a night of fun THIS IS YOUR PLACE.
....and also if you like to shoot pool.... Â :o)
3 stars means A-OK. Â Nothing special as far as pool halls go, but this place was jumpin' on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Â They actually had a wait for tables.. and a bouncer type giving out something (I didn't see if it was a wristband or what) for people who wanted to drink, which I hadn't seen before. Â I guess that way they don't have to card people every time they want to order. Â The crowd was ok, nothing fancy but not too rough either. Â I wouldn't mind coming back.
Review Source:As far as pool halls go, this is a very nice place. It's big inside and there are tons of pool tables. You pay by the hour, which is sweet...and you don't pay that much either, which is double sweet. Beers are LARGE and cheap as well, and the shots aren't that expensive either. The staff is very friendly, and there is a very kewl vibe about the place. It's a great hang out with great music (from tons of different genre's). I can't wait to go back and hang out there again.
Review Source:We came here to play pool while waiting for my friend to come out of the ER at Kaiser not to far down the street. Â We should have all went and waited for her, but she was with her best gal pal, so we figured we needed to find something to do in the meantime. The place was pretty packed.
Pretty chill place to spend some time drinking booze and playing pool.
So the last movie showing was at 10pm, now what? Â Well, the only other thing open at this time besides drive thru fast food were pool halls like these. Â Just your typical pool hall with a bar. Â
The one thing I really liked about this place was the juke box. Â It was jamming! hahaha. Â They keep it up to date with current songs, so people be always feeding the machine like crazy. Â Especially on busy nights, you would sometime have to wait 2, 3, or more hours before your song even played! Â Sucks when you really want to hear your song, but also insanely awesome. Â They also had those card/trivia game machines too. Â Came in handy when I was about played out after one game of pool hahaa.
