I was there last weekend and ordered food, just a burger and fries. The food was good, and cheap. When I seen the price of the food, I thought I was getting a bar burger and fries, which was not the case. You get your money worth. Although the unfriendly barmaid left much to be desired.
I guess you want to know why I am only giving 2 stars then? well, It was SO good the first time, yesterday (Saturday) a friend and I were trying to think of a place for lunch. After looking up the hours online, that said they opened at 11, we decided we would meet for a quick bite. While on Facebook, I noticed the hours said 11:30 opening time. So to play it safe, we got there at noon. Guess what, the doors were not open, the lights were not on.
After speaking to another friend who know people that work or used to work there, it was determined that "its always late opening". Great food will only get you so far, I know I won't ever drive to see if it is open again. If your hours are set as such, make sure the place is open, Time Out got our business instead.
This is my first time writing a review on here, but this place warrants it. The food was incredible... Not just for a pub type setting. I mean fantastic in general. I had the chicken Philly with fried pickles for the appetizer. No hyperbole here that both were the best I've ever had, and I've had quite a few from various places. The food and drink prices are more than reasonable, and the ambiance is fun: lots of games, a jukebox, pool tables, multiple flat screens, and an outdoor area.
The owner introduced himself personally and was very friendly. I might say the customer service was better than the food, but the food was pretty hard to beat. :) The owner also informed us that the food is made from scratch, which definitely showed. I'm looking forward to going back. I think my partner and I found a gem right in the next town over!
