This place quietly screams "comfort." I go here once a week in the evening. Friendly folks, great home-style cooking, oil lamps on the tables, a fire in the fireplace, and Christmas decorations in the gift shop. A breath of fresh air in a crazy world. Since I included them in my favorite breakfast list, I will admit that more often than not, I'll order breakfast for supper here! Love the pancakes with pecans and real maple syrup...(sigh of contentment)... BTW, Amy might be the friendliest server in the world!
Review Source:The staff was excellent, very sweet and accommodating and the food was COUNTRY! the breakfast looked great and the food was not my kind of food so I can't really say, but it was definitely an experience. The chicken fried steak was OK, a little too peppery for me but I enjoyed the country feel. The food wasn't my great, but the rocking chairs and chess/checkers were a great touch!
