This place quietly screams "comfort." I go here once a week in the evening. Friendly folks, great home-style cooking, oil lamps on the tables, a fire in the fireplace, and Christmas decorations in the gift shop. A breath of fresh air in a crazy world. Since I included them in my favorite breakfast list, I will admit that more often than not, I'll order breakfast for supper here! Love the pancakes with pecans and real maple syrup...(sigh of contentment)... BTW, Amy might be the friendliest server in the world!
Review Source:The staff was excellent, very sweet and accommodating and the food was COUNTRY! the breakfast looked great and the food was not my kind of food so I can't really say, but it was definitely an experience. The chicken fried steak was OK, a little too peppery for me but I enjoyed the country feel. The food wasn't my great, but the rocking chairs and chess/checkers were a great touch!
Review Source:Always reliable when I'm on the road, this one makes a good breakfast and the bacon is great. I don't like the sausage as much here because to me it's like a ground ham patty. I'll take Jimmy Dean's sausage. Â The Sunday fried chicken is delicious and the turnip greens, green beans and corn are great along with the cornbread and biscuits. Cracker Barrel is reliable and solid country fare.
Review Source:What happened to Cracker Barrel?! I used to LOVE going there. I am hoping that it was just this particular one and not the whole chain. The dumplings were undercooked, the meatloaf tasted like you were biting onto a piece of mushy green pepper, hamburger was cold and chewy, and fried chicken tasted off. But the biggest disappointment was the proportions were painfully small. Even my 6 yr old little girl had to ask for seconds. The prices were outrageous! Over $4.00 for a side salad and $6.00 for a kid's plate.

My first visit to a Cracker Barrel was last year when my boyfriend and I were leaving Glendale, Arizona after visiting my grandma. We were hungry so my boyfriend took the exit for the Cracker Barrel in Yuma. By the way, if you live in Southern California, the closest locations are in Arizona.
My most recent visit to a Cracker Barrel was during my trip to Illinois with my boyfriend. Our trip was coming to an end the next day, and my boyfriend's brother Michael decided to take us to Cracker Barrel before we went to the St. Louis Zoo. We went with Michael and two of his kids around 12pm CST even though we were aiming to be there in the morning. My boyfriend and I each ordered the Momma's Pancake Breakfast with the bacon and eggs. We both got bacon and eggs, but he ordered his eggs sunny side up and I ordered them scrambled. Michael ordered the Grandpa's Country Fried Steak, his son got scrambled eggs, his daughter got the biscuits and gravy, and her friend Dakota got the Chicken and Dumplings. On top of that we kept on getting buttermilk biscuits, which are tasty, but bread tends to make me full quickly. While everyone was waiting at the table for their food, I was playing the store's peg game. I enjoy playing this game because it's so challenging. It took us all about 30 minutes to finish our food. Michael's daughter Kylee and her friend Dakota waited outside while the rest of us went to the store to buy stuff.
I love going to the Cracker Barrel not just for the restaurant, but also for the store. This place is a good ol' slice of Americana. I particularly love the store for its knick-knacks and nostalgic candy. I got my dad 4 packs each of three gums: Clove, Beeman's, and Blackjack. Those gums are pretty hard to find and Cracker Barrel is one of the very few stores that carry them. (My dad was happy when I got those gums for him) I also bought the peg game so I could challenge myself at home. I once again left with a full belly and a Cracker Barrel bag with items I purchased. :)
This place is so charming! My husband introduced me to Cracker Barrel when we moved out here. For the longest time when we lived in California, I heard all about Cracker Barrel and now I finally get to experience it. The food and service is always on par and I love looking through their country store. Keep up the good work!
Review Source:It's Cracker Barrel. Expect down-home atmosphere and decor coupled with friendly staff and large portions of comfort foods. I've been to this location a few times and never left disappointed. I've been to another location and unlike that particular one, I've never even had to wait in the gift shop area to be seated.
Note: among a hoard of delicious foods and beverages, they have a great strawberry lemon-aid. I'm pretty sure it comes with unlimited refills, and you will surly request them as they're simply delicious and addicting! Plus, they come in a cold and frosted mug. Yum!
Shut up, I love me some Cracker Barrel
As a high school student, I so lovingly called it Cracker Asshole.... cause I was badass like that. And this was the restaurant I frequented most often of all the Cracker Barrels in the area. Went here all the time. Ate lots of biscuits. And fried apples. Nommmmmmmmmmm
The food is pretty predictable, it's "country fresh" (my ass....) but the biscuits and fried apples are always scrumptious.
