While I've had bad service at this place from time to time and the food is definitely better on some days than others, I'm still giving this place four stars. Â They don't have the most extensive beer selection in the world (although it definitely holds its own) but they have some really unique and great stuff you wont find anywhere else. Â Also, the hamburgers are amazing. Â All of the food is great (especially the black bean tacos) but the burgers really stand out. Â If you like burgers and beer, this is your place. Â The salmon is also pretty good. Â Overall, great place. Â Unfortunately there are a few instances in my memory preventing me from giving this place 5 stars but no one is perfect. Â Still the best restaurant in Ypsilanti.
Review Source:The Mac Attack Burger I had last night was quite good, and so were the happy hour specials... but immediately upon arrival, we noticed that the hostess who seated us was visibly pissed off about something.
This may have led to our table being totally neglected for 25 minutes with the four of us getting explosively hangry (hungry + angry) and me eating half of the container of pickles at our table before I managed to flag a waitress down and ask who our server was. She responded gracefully with "Oh, I don't know, but I would be happy to help you guys!" She was wonderful. The tall skinny miserable-looking girl who we eventually determined was originally supposed to be our waitress (we didn't see a sign of her until an hour in...) was not.
Anyway, I ordered the giant deep-fried mushrooms, which were awesommmmmmme, but that could have been because I was starving. The Mac Attack on brioche was also good--I could tell that the meat & bun were what was awesome about it though, and next time I'll stick to a regular burger. I swapped out the Cajun fries for sweet potato fries, which tasted fine with the garlic mayo, but they looked burnt?
I definitely hope to return to try some of the other menu items, but hopefully we won't be neglected again.
Great spot for outdoor seating. Â They have a great beer selection and our waitress had awesome recommendations. Â The sliders are the real reason I wanted to write a review--both the regular and gourmet are something to write home about. Â The perfect size with tender juicy meat and melty gooey cheese. Â The carmelized onions topping the sliders are sweet and delicious. Â I cannot wait to go back.
