I was here recently, (my second time here) and it was a whole lot of fun.
Going with fun people is important, if you wind up with some negative Nancy's like some of the previous reviews here, then you will likely not enjoy it, then again you can always just lock em in the trunk of the car until which time you are ready to leave.
Its funny about the Debby downers...they would go to a bingo hall, and complain about "annoying talking over the PA the whole time"...or go to the beach and complain about sand and water...oy vey!
Ok I think we get the just of it, two pianos, people singing along, the performers mix a little comedy with a bunch of old songs and you have a dueling piano bar.
The cool thing about Pub 13, they have a sports bar upstairs and a connecting doorway to Club Divine, which gives you plenty of entertainment choices, so if your still not able to have a good time here, maybe old reruns of Matlock and a bag of microwave popcorn are just your ticket!
Love Pub 13. Â
Great Dueling Piano Show Wed.-Sat. Â Different pianists all the time, but all are very talented, and very personable. Â
Staff is great, very friendly. Â Decent priced drinks! Â
Crowd is a mix of college students, and middle-aged folks. Â GREAT for people watching, and fun with a group. Â Not somewhere I would head for a date or quiet night out. Â Birthday and Bachelorette party heaven!
Downside is...it's always busy on the weekends. Â If you don't get there by 8 or 9pm, you probably will have to stand and hope that someone decides to leave so you can take their table. Â
The Best Damn Sports bar is upstairs. Â Crappy version of a sports bar. Â Pool tables (most are falling apart) dart boards, small bar, and TV's.
Club Divine is next door connected by a small door. Â Divine is pretty crappy, and a little shady. Â
Pub 13 is one of the best in Ypsi if you are looking for somewhere to go that isn't your typical "club" atmosphere!
