Sky's

I got punched in the face during my first visit here--and, I swear up and down, it was not justified.  I came to watch the Giants game and had two beers while minding my own business.  I accidently bumped elbows with a man as I was walking out and he took great umbrage.  As I apologized and explained that I was leaving, another guy walked up and punched me in the mouth.  The bartenders didn't even apologize for the situation or direct them to leave.

I liked it for the first hour, but there are some violent and unreasonable hoodlums here and the bartenders don't seem to mind.  Stay away unless you like to flirt with danger.  If this is blue collar, then blue collar is horrible.

Sky's is your basic valley blue collar bar:

- Cheap drank
- Bar music blaring from the jukebox
- Hard working folks unwinding with beers, darts, and pool
- CA Lottery ticket machine (what?)

I'm not saying you won't run in to a sketchy character or two, but...hey, it's a bar!!  It's a fine place to hang out for people who aren't worried about looking cool.  

It's also a fine place to run into a hot female that gets amazingly impressed by your simple residence in Elk Grove (!?!).

And finally, it's a fine place for one of your best friends to completely c-block you from said impressed hot female telling her you have a girlfriend when you haven't been seeing someone for months.  

Yeah, I guess it's not that great.  3 stars.
