I visited Slap Shotz for the first time last week and I was very pleased with the service there. I also went on Saturday for the Bruins game and we had the same experience! The waitress literally checked on us every 10 mins or so and that is by far the best service I've ever had at a local pub. Very friendly too!
The food and drink selections are great! Had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries, very very good! I usually travel to pubs in my home-town which is about 20 mins away, but I'll be coming here for now on..

There are not enough words to describe this place. Â Me and a couple of friends came here on St. Patrick's Day roughly around 11:30 and had one of the BEST experiences and the COLDEST beer!! When I say the beer is cold I mean it literally forms ice at the top an it is so cold you can't even hold the glass. Â I'm telling you I am an avid beer drinker and there is noting better than an ICE COLD BEER after work!!! Â Just remember if you are in the Avon area you have to check this place out it is as good as it gets!!

Often we'll have friends over on weekends and head to Slapshotz for some food and live music. - the bands we have seen have been pretty good too. On Sundays it's a great place to relax, have a few beers, and catch a game. It's awesome you can go in there for a whole afternoon and not break the bank.
The staff and their clientele are all very friendly and the service is good. The food is fantastic. The pizzas are one of our go-to's (chix/broc/Alfredo) Â but everything on the menu is great. Slapshotz is a one of my favorite bars on the south shore and would recommend anyone checking this place out. It's perfect for any crowd and the atmosphere is outstanding.
Shortly after I wrote the negative review, I was contacted by the owner who told me that he passed my review onto the staff, and to try to come in again sometime because he believed that the service would be much different. He was right. I've been there many times since writing the review, and the staff has been much more attentive.
Review Source:I was in Saturday night for dinner and drinks. Haywire Davinci was playing (awesome). The waitress we had was very polite and attentive, She sat us right away, took our drink order, and checked in on us to see how everything was. Food was great and all around a fabulous saturday night out with my best friend. We plan on making this a new place to go.
