I like this bar. I like depressing music. They were not really playing depressing music to my dismay. They had Stone IPA on tap and a decent little beer list. It was empty inside and that only encouraged the few people inside to talk with eachother and be social. I think this may be one of my favorite bars around. The 6 or so people in the bar at 8 pm last night were all very friendly and embodied the Cleveland spirit.
Review Source:Hello, there! SUphie here, I just wanted to make a shout-out...Ok, so here goes: the drinks at Kobalt are O-kay, especially their French drinks, like Ephemere. Otherwise, they don't have a lot of "genuine" English/Irish/German types of Beers/drinks, which is a disappointment/bummer. I like those a lot.
The staff are friendly, but like I said, sometimes their good drinks are missing. Also, the dj on Karaoke nights is "selective." Don't think he'll necessarily call your name. HAHA.
This is where we go on Lee Rd when we want to play darts and pool. It tends to be on the empty side. Unfortunately it seems the usual crowd likes depressing music, so we don't always love the jukebox, but whatever. They have drink specials almost every night of the week and they always have good beer. I don't know why it is always empty.
