I usually take the kiddos down to square donuts a couple times a month. We typically "dine in" if they have an open table. The place is always clean, staff if friendly and the price is right. The three of can get our fill of sugary goodness for about 6 bucks (yes 6 bucks total, not each), including Coffee and milk.
The glazed yeast donuts melt in your mouth. The chocolate filled peanut butter iced donut is one of my faves too, its like an inside out peanut butter cup. My only gripe is they don't have a lot of cake donuts to choose from. I'd love to see the pumpkin, chocolate/chocolate and blueberry cake available all the time, but the again if they were, I'd probably weigh 300Lbs...
Oh yea the coffee is pretty durn good to although last time I was there all they had was unleaded... ):
And they have a drive in case walking 30 feet seems like way to much effort for a donut...
Amazing donuts, especially when you buy them at the crack of dawn, you know they're the freshest at that time. Â That being said, you must come early in the morning or you risk what Nijole T. experienced and have barely anything from which to choose. Â They have other types of bars and jelly donuts, but the plain glazed square is my absolute favorite, it reminds me very much of Krispy Kremes.
Review Source:We came right beofre closing at there were 2!!!! donuts left! Slightly dissapointed I had drove all the way from Columbus Ohio I bought them. One was a plain one (something I would never even consider buying, and NOT EVEN SQUARE) and one chocolate donut hole (not even a real donut! but both were the best I have ever had! Ive eaten every donut in Columbus, most in Dayton, and many other places, every flavor you can imagine but NONE were as good as this plain glazed and chocolate hole from square donuts! If nothing else in Richmond is worth visiting, Square donuts is!!
