I had tried this place when it first opened a couple times and wasn't impressed with the food or service - HOWEVER, I have to say, we went there late in the afternoon with the family and the grand kids and wow! It was on the mark.
Atmosphere is great and right up my alley, because it is a historic building that has lots of character and has been "re-purposed" with quality work and keeping to the theme, artistically. We started with an appetizer to share for the six of us: BBQ Nachos which were yum. Â I had the Cobb Salad and my husband had the Greek; both were excellent and priced well. Our son and his wife had "The Smokin' Hog" Â dinners, which they raved about. One grandchild ordered from the lunch menu - the pulled pork sandwich and the other had the "Junior Firefighter" chicken nuggets with the fruit plus an extra side of vegetables. They are both picky eaters when it comes to trying something new and they really liked it.
Highly recommend for a tasty meal out with the family and they have enough variety to please everyone. Kudos on the presentation with the glass jars for the sides, tin pans and red checkered tissue paper.
Awesome local spot and perfect addition to the depot district in Richmond - honestly this town could use a lot more places like this one!
Loved everything from the decorations and song lyrics/quotes painted on the tables and walls to the way the food was served - cutest little side dishes in baby mason jars.
Stopped by for a late lunch around 4pm on a Monday so it wasn't very busy - the service was perfect. Food was delicious. AWESOME atmosphere. I can only imagine how cool it is when they have live music! This is definitely a place I would frequent if I still lived here in town.
