I had the fish and chips for dinner and found it very good. Light on the chips but very generous with the fish. Service was very good. The gal was attentive and passed my number one test. The beer delivery test. Had our drinks to us super fast. My only gripe which can't change is the noise level. Almost as bad as the Friendly Tavern. I'll try the Cuban sandwich next time the Carmel location has the best I've found North of Miami.
Review Source:I have enjoyed the Stacked Pickle on Meridian and reccomended a group of friends go to the new one on 106th after work. Â It was not good...I ordered the fish and chips that came out luke warm, the slaw was cool, and the tarter sauce had been sitting under a heat lamp....the waitress was nice and offered to replace, but I declined...I was surprised that the waitress took the dirty dishes right by the manager, and he did not even notice that a plate with 3/4 of the food still on it....that is the first lesson a good manager should look for!! Â The layout is cold, loud and has no theme...needs alot of work .... hope they get their act together, great location.
Review Source:With the new location opening recently, there has been quite a buzz about The Stacked Pickle, so I had high expectations. However, having been twice now, I'm not sure I'll return again. The service is good-- friendly, attentive, quick. But the layout is uncomfortable. One side of the restaurant looks very open, but we were sat on the bar side, which is so cramped that our chairs butted up against the people sitting behind us. And the biggest disappointment is the food. I got the sample platter, eager to test out as many different menu selections as I could. The wings were okay, though nothing special; the server admitted that the sauces are just the generic brand distributed by GFS. The fried mac & cheese and onion rings were pretty lackluster, and the fried pickles were very soggy. My dinner mates were equally unimpressed by their meals (the tenderloin and buffalo chicken sandwiches). I also tried the cheesecake, accompanied by fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce. The strawberries seemed fresh, but the cheesecake was warm, which really compromised the texture/taste.
I suppose, if you just want a few drinks, The Stacked Pickle will do the job. But I can think of many other places that do it better.
