Stans Brewing Company

What a fantastic time.  The bartender jesus was great...got busy, but attended to us well making me a great cosmopolitan on ice...first time, but I ordered a a second;).  Had to yelp cuz the pizza and I rings were perfect....can't wait till they start selling the red sky beer...we will be back for round two!!!

So this is a weird one. I LOVED the food. The atmosphere was whatever, indifferent.
Biggest thing of all is...don't make expectations. A "brewpub" that does have any of its own beer on tap.
Our food (San Diego chicken sandwich and Italian Stallion calzone) were  delicious, although our first choice (beer sausage) was "not until 5pm" even though it was clearly marked that the only "after 5 pm" dish is Tri-tip dinner.
There was definitely some good, definitely some bad.
To our server George, you have a great personality and a kind heart; you seem to really want to serve your customers. I just encourage you to gain a bit more confidence; don't be so timid. You got the skills, act like you know you do.

I heard about this placed through my brother who lives in Manteca and we vowed to try it together.  So, our entire family went last Sunday for dinner and loved it.  We love the rooms with pool tables and the large dining room and bar as it is lively with both the customers, staff, and TVs alike.  I love how they let you sample a beer before buying it.  After two samplings, I decided on Devil's Canyon's Cherry Alise which has full cherry flavor all the way through, but not enough so to take away the flavor of the ale that is not heavy like a usual ale.  My black & blue burger was excellent with a burger blackened with Cajun spice's an ed blue cheese; all the fixins are fresh.  The onion rings are crispy and greasless with not too much or too little badder and onions alike.  Our server was very nice; granted Gothic looking and tatues, but very nice and checking in not excessively but not forgetting about us.  I am taking off a star because they gave my mother the onion rings and me her garlic fries which she and I swapped, but one must get the order right in the business or at least own up to it.  So, for a wonderful local brewery and restaurant experience with friendly service in a casual old world atmosphere, St. Stann's cannot be beat.  Keep up the good work guys.
