Review Source:Modesto has nice things.
I repeat, Modesto has nice things!
Yes, I couldn't believe it myself until I was lured to buy tickets for Lewis Black (comedian of Comedy Central and The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart fame). Decided to make it an evening with my lovely and equally silly lady cousins. The lobby is grand like nearly Opera House grand with marble floors, columns reaching almost to the ceiling, very grand.
The staff are also very helpful, some of which I think volunteer here as well. We were in balcony seats, 3rd floor but surprisingly although I paid less than the fortunate ones in "orchestra", the view was spectacular and I didn't feel like I was in the nosebleeds. Mr. Black's performance was uproarious with his angry outbursts and colorful portrayals of people who just don't get it.
I think what I loved the most about his act is his wondering what makes us all stay in Modesto, sometimes I wonder that myself but when you really think about it, it must be the wine as he alluded.
Can't wait to see Martin Short  here in November!!!
