Stella Rossa

Prompt and friendly service, and good food. We ordered the mussels- which were delicious and had fennel and cherry tomatoes in them- making them unique and very enjoyable. Also ordered the beet salad and a veggie pizza- both were flavorful and done well. Kids meals were generous and only $5- a few dollars less than many restaurants we frequent. All in all a great family friendly experience- and sitting outside on the porch on a beautiful evening was the icing on the cake!

Tried Stella Rossa for the first time tonight. I see lots of people had trouble with the staff but we found them to friendly and fast. The menu is much more reasonably priced than Fire Creek was. Food was good, although the menu is somewhat limited (very few seafood selections) and they do not have specials. I had a chicken dish and my partner had salmon. Both were tasty and served fast...almost too fast. We didn't have time to settle in, relax and enjoy our bread with dipping oil and drinks. Speaking of the drinks, I didn't care for the lemoncello. It was way too sweet and lukewarm...almost like a melted lollipop. I've always thought the building was cool, so it was nice to see it brightened up inside. All in all, it was a positive experience, and I think it has potential to be a really great place if they polish up the menu, add specials, and get a little more relaxed with the timing.

In a word...yikes!  My husband and I went on a Friday night, without reservations.  There were quite possibly 30 people waiting for a table WITH reservations.  The folks at the hostess desk were frazzled and didn't really seem to know what was going on.  We were told about a 45 min wait so we headed to the bar.  Plenty of empty tables so maybe they were just understaffed?  Bartender was kinda rude.  We waited 1 1/2 hrs and said " screw it i can get a mediocre pizza at Victory".  

Might be decent on a Tuesday but definitely not on the weekend!
