RVC dive bar. You don't get that college-aged dance floor feeding frenzy vibe here. It's relaxed. However, they really need to get a bigger bathroom. Hope you can hold it in long enough. As always, parking is a pain in the neck so be prepared to circle the lot for a good 10-15 minutes, unless you get lucky and someone is leaving just as you get there.
Review Source:In my younger years (I say that like I'm ancient) I used to frequent Stinger's every Wednesday. It was the perfect spot for cheap beers*, even cheaper wings**, and plenty of room to catch up with friends***.
Years later it still is that kind of spot. Although I don't spend no where near as much time at Stinger's since my move from Long Island to Brooklyn I do like going back every now and then. The bartenders**** have always been friendly and attentive (tip them well!), the music always blaring something I enjoy (even country music on occasion), and the crowd is typically some of the least pretentious Long Islander's I've ever come across.
Special thank you to my brother and his wife for introducing me to this place all those many years ago...

**The wings are cheap for a reason. They are some of the most freakishly tiny wings I have ever consumed, but hey, I can't complain at .10 cents a pop!
***Plenty of boot seating and bar side seating. Oh, and an outdoor bar area as well!
****While the bartenders at Stingers have always been fabulous to me and my friends the bouncers are another story. Specifically the anti-Jets bouncer who angrily threw my ID on the ground a couple of weekends ago. It would have been taken with a grain of salt had he picked it up, but he was pretty serious about being a jerk. Psh, Giants fans.
The bartenders suck! I went with my boyfriend, we stood there waiting at the bar to be served for 10 minutes, the bartender seemed to go to everyone except us. When he finally came to us and took our order (2 bottled beers) he went to everyone else again, came back to us and asked us again what we wanted. This happened again later on in the night except he never came back with our order. After waiting another 10 minutes for the original bartender to come back with our order the barback asked us what we wanted. I will never go back here. It was a waste of time;

It was Thanksgiving eve, every other bar in town was packed to the point people were stuck waiting outside, and we just wanted a bar with music, beer, and no one fist-pumping. Â We wandered into Stingers and were pleasantly surprised to find a decent (but not large) crowd there. Â
By 2 AM, most of the crowd had started to filter out. Â The music was decent, for the most part. Â Overall, a great way to spend Thanksgiving eve with some of the folks we are thankful to have in our lives.
I always come here on Thanksgiving Eve; it's becoming a tradition. This is one of the scuzziest dive bars I've ever been into.
Sticky floors, disgusting bathrooms, horrible decor. The only redeeming quality is cheap beer, but it's still probably not worth coming to.
I only come here because it's not Churchill's or Croxley's which packs in so many people you can't even move. Stingers also does this, but to a lesser extent.

I thought this place was great. Â Not too big, good crowd and good drink specials! Â I went on a Friday and it was 2.50 vodka drinks, 2.50 bud light bottles and until 1030 it was 5$ 2fers! Â I think they had free wings too that night but I didn't indulge. Â
They have a pool table and darts. Â
The only thing that bugged me was the womens bathroom there was only one stall..ahh what are you gonna do..
Other than that I had a great time at this place
I always passed by this place and never stepped thinking it was a typical old mans bar, however, I was recently invited and thought that now would be the perfect time to check it out, here are the best points:
1. The beer selection is great and not only that, Wednesday nights, $2.50 on tap for domestic. Â Needless to say this was an absolute hit.
2. Food, although Croxley ale house isn't far and yes their wings are superior, there are no special conditions or promotions or catches at Stingers Irish Pub, you can order any amount of wings, 10 cents, no questions asked, no minums, no minimum drink purchase, nada. Â We ordered 10 of each flavor, BBQ, Teriyaki, Regular. Â All mild to hot. Â (We could've ordered hotter but, I declined because i'm a light weight)
3. Darts & Pool Table - While enjoying our cold beers and awesome wings, we played darts. Â Turns out to be a lot more fun after you start to drink.
4. Â The music was great all night.
5. Â Very spacious, ample seating at a booth or at the bar.
This is my new favorite place.
