Aw, I'm sad this Subway got such low reviews. Well, I guess the only reason why I rate this Subway so high is because of the lady that works there. If you go here, have the lady with the piercings make your sandwich!!! She's beyond nice. I can never make up my mind on what to get at Subway, and my indecisiveness can get annoying for people. So it was really nice she was still very kind when I changed my mind a couple of times, made suggestions to me, and even let me try a little sample of the Tuscan chicken. I mean yeah, all Subways taste the same, but it's all about the service in my opinion that sets them apart! That's why this is my favorite location in Davis!
Review Source:The interior and exterior of this Subway location is fairly clean and tidy. My guess is it's a little bit newer in comparison to other locations in Davis? Either way, I came by here for a quick bite to eat. The service seems pretty okay, but I noticed they only had one worker making sandwiches and another worker ringing customers up. This can get pretty inconvenient when there's multiple people in line waiting to order, pay, and get out the door.
Taste-wise, all Subways are the same. In honesty, I'm not really a big sandwich kind of grl, but it did the job of suppressing my appetite. Perks of this location? It's close to the 80 and a couple of gas stations along with Nugget Market. Will I be back? Hmm, I doubt it.
This place is right next to the gas stop, right across from tacobell.
It's quite small, but depending on the day, can be quite busy.
The food is average, but the reason why I am rating it so low is because there were flies (little gnats?) that were really close to the food...and I'm not sure if they touched it. It just looked unsanitary as the food wasn't covered...
Parking okay. Easy access.
Veggies obviously not fresh. Cheese had seen better days. They were not generous with portions (sparse by my accustomed Subway standards).
The staff was okay, but not outgoing.
When I went in I was hoping to go for lunch the next day too, but no way will I bother returning there.
I came in this week. I did not have a problem with parking--I think they tried to fix this. There was little wait and the friendly lady, working on someone's sandwhich, even acknowledged me. I ordered the $5 footlong and everything was fresh, crisp, and plentiful! I actually split the sandwhich for two meals, so I am not complaining. Â While the location is on the outskirts of the city, I usually leave satisfied.
Review Source:Subway is subway.
Sucks that this place isn't it the best location for business.
But this is a good location to get Subway quick since not a lot of people go to this Subway.
The service people can be kinda awkward.
There's better Subways in Davis.
But then again, Subway is Subway.
$5 subs!
Italian B.M.T., yum!
geez, what happened to the all too perky employees of subway, wearing with pride their shiny flare claiming their skills as professional sandwich artists? Â
in short, this place sucks. Â granted- i was already a little on the pissy side when i walked in here- my flight was delayed in burbank, the pilot missed the runway and circled around again, the shuttle driver for the long term parking lot got lost (um, yeah from the terminal to the parking lot, i will tell that story some other time)... anyway, i was starving by the time i made it to davis and clearly my decision making skills were affected by this since i came here for my lunch. Â
i should have known things were going to go awry when i was referred to as "sir"- seriously?!? Â i know i failed to apply makeup today, but i am certain that i could NOT possibly be mistaken for as a man.
every request had to be repeated at least three times- and two sandwiches from others behind me were already made before the finishing touches of S&P were added. Â after he failed to add oil and vinegar to the sandwich in which i clearly stated that i wanted on it, he attempted to ring up my order. Â now, the person ringing up my order, was the person who actually made my sandwich, then asked me, "what kind did you order?" Â you just MADE it two minutes ago! Â MENTAL!
lesson to be learned here: go to the deli counter at nugget for a sandwich instead.
