Sunshine Grille

I have been in the restaurant for 40 minutes and my main course has not been served. It took 14 minutes to get soup. My diet coke glass sat empty for 16 minutes. This is the worst service I have had in a very long time if Fort Myers! I predict this place is out of business sooner than later. With bad service, it does not matter how good or bad your food is.

The sign outside this reataurant says something about being rated by Zagat. I think a restaurant must have to pay to get on Zagat's list, otherwise, Zagat needs to improve their rating system.

We weren't impressed by this restaurant. Our service was very good but that's about it. The quality was not what I expected from the prices listed on the menu. Nothing more to say on this one.

The sea scallop/goat cheese app was really good. That was definitely the highlight of the meal for me.

For an entree I had the red snapper picatta and this dish was just: STRANGE. The fish itself seemed fresh, but the cornmeal seemed unnecessary and flavorless. The picatta sauce was also pretty flavorless. What made the whole thing extra weird were the sides: It was on a bed of (too much) rice. On the side was some weird purple cabbage (tasted ok, but why with this meal...the flavors didn't make sense together), grilled asparagus, and two pieces of undercooked cauliflower. TWO. Why?! It was just such a weird mix.

The service was pretty piss poor...it seemed our waitress was more concerned with the table next to us. Also, while the GM was nice, he stayed at our table way too long chatting while our food was getting cold.
