I hate to do this to you, especially after all the times I've bragged to others about your pizza, but after the pie and service yesterday, there is no way in hell I'd drop another five cents in this place.
Starters: Â Went out of my way (I live in SJC, there's plenty of pizza by me, but I still went down there) only to walk into the place and thought i was in a concert, the radio was so loud. Â No one was there to greet us, nor could anyone working there hear us talking over the music. Â No big deal....
Guy pops his head out, (still doesn't offer a greeting), and looks at us like we're the biggest inconvience of his life. Â comes up and begins to take our order, I inform him I have a coupon and he about blew a gasket. Â At this point I'm ready to walk out, but figured maybe he's just having a bad day, I'll let it go... he proceeded to complain about the coupon like it was a document stating that he owes me money. Â Dude, it's a couple bucks off a pizza, relax!
the dude shouldn't be employed, and if he thinks behavior like that is acceptable in a business setting, he shouldn't ever work again.
The pie: Â The most bland pizza I've ever tasted. Â Incredibly soft dough, like it was undercooked. covered in cheese, less than 10 pepperoni slices on a XL 16" pizza. Â I buy frozen pizza from Vons with better flavor for four bucks. Â When the annoyed dude brought it to our table, he just sat it down and walked away without a word.
There is NO WAY I'll even get slices when golfing from now on.

Don't bother apologizing or inviting me to come back.
You like Pizza?? Dominos....eh, Pizza Hut... just ok, Papa Johns ..... sure when there is nothing around.... I was driving through San Clemente the other day with some friends and we were starving.. We went to this place that said market and deli but nothing sounded good. Didnt want junk snaks. Than my friend said "lets get pizza at that place over there." So we steped in. The kid working there was moping the floor and it looked like a very clen place. Not many tables, but for a whole in the wall it looked good. They have a slice and soda combo and you can choose cheese or pepperoni, now im not a fan of pepperoni but i wanted a meat pizza so i choose pepperoni. the slice came out and the kid was very nice and frendly. I took a bite and it was amazing. The pepperoni was amazing!!! i just had to get another slice! my friends and I are for sure coming back to this place! Thank you Surfside Pizza for making or tummys yummy!
Review Source:eh, i have lived in SC my whole life, this shop has been around forever..lots of different owners and name changes. I went to shorecliffs and had pizza almost everyday. this place has gone a bit down hill. The poor guy was all alone ( but he was very nice and friendly) and got a bit busy. Had my kids in the car and had to wait awhile, they were a little restless. Anywho everything was just ok, but i was told about the 30 inch pizza challenge and am seriously thinking about making my husband do it for the gift basket and gift certs to fancy places..hahaha. Â We will go back again, but not a must have...
Review Source:Well, this place rocks! I couldn't believfe how much better this place is since a new couple with a couple little kids bought it...they have the kids there some of the time...really cute little ones. Anyway, their pepperoni actually tastes like pepperone and the motzarella cheese is stringy the way it ought to be. I lofve crusts and their crust is crunchy, but not too much. I actually quit going there for a few months but they said that they bought Surfside Pizza in March, and you can see that they completely revamped it, made it tidy, clean (not like before) and has game machines for kids now and several flat screen tvs. Funny---golfers at the 7th hole at the Shorecliffs golf course backs up to the restaurant and we saw golfers order stuff over the fence to eat while they play golf. Anyway, I saw some of the bad reviews prior to March 2012 and just forget them because it all is changed and we now get pizzaa there at least once every couple weeks. Oh yeah, they have a 30 inch pizza too, Imagine that....
Review Source:Call me a creature of habit or the guy whom couldn't resist a slice after another lovely stop at the good ol' DMV.
Unlike last week, I didn't take advantage of the 2-slices+mug-o-beer for under $8.
I went the S.C. Triton (soda) route and couldn't have been happier. Â No, not because Larry's Liquor Market has Wild Turkey for $0.99 or currently offers 2 bags of Popchips for the price of 1, although that's OBVIOUSLY plenty of reason, but the service was snappy as @#$% and the pizza was given to me as requested. Â
If the tables in this place were as clean as the cooler, Surfside Pizza would be a five-star-spot for sure.
P.S. You can pick up their pizza after the 6th hole if you're playing Shorecliff's. You say "how opportunistic of them." I say, "perfect if you weren't grabbin' food/drink at the turn."
If you're a pizza lover, then don't bother coming here.
First of all, the man working seemed as if he was hungover or high, and he gave me a slice that looked and tasted old, or it sat there for hours, and the crust is paper thin. I had ALWAYS wanted to go here, and now I hope no one will waste their money on this disgusting pizza and poor service.
Local pizza place for the Shorecliffs neighborhood. Located across the street from the DMV office, it is hidden and can be hard to find. The parking lot is small. It's next to Larry's Market.
This pizza place is very small (dare I say intimate?). There are only 4 tables in the place. They're only open until about 8:30PM. They charge an extra $0.40 to use your ATM or credit card.
The pizza is good. Dough is slightly springy and has a little pull to it when you bite into it. The sauce is spread thinly across the dough and has a hint of garlic to it. They put enough toppings on so you have a taste in every bite. My order was for a small sausage and bacon pizza. Took a little under 10 minutes from the time I ordered until it was ready to go.
I ordered a 3 topping X-Large pizza.
the size= The x-large here is about the size of a medium at papa johns. it was not big at all, and would be perfect for 2 people in my opinion since the pizza is so thin and light.
taste= had a nice taste, nothing special, not bad tho.
price= well i had a coupon for $3 off but even at $16, i felt like it was kind of a waste of money. Looked and tasted much like like a medium from Papa Johns.
Conclusion- Save your money and go to Stuft Pizza or Beach Cities
Doughy, bland and way overpriced. Small 8 inch pizza with three pieces of mushroom, some diced green pepper and some very crumbly smallish pieces of italian sausage, 14.96!!! I picked it up, so no "extra charges" to justify the cost, without the flavor. Dough was innocuous and the cheese was good and the sauce, well let's just mention the cheese again, since I never saw any tomatoes, or sauce and I definately did not taste any.
Review Source:a simple pizza joint in the quiet Shorecliffs Plaza, next to the locals' former favorite Larry's Market and Deli - which is now a liquor store.
We ordered the Veggie Supreme (mushroom, green bell peppers, tomato, onion, black olives) and the Surfside Special (meatlovers)
Prices are reasonable and they offer beer from Kona (Hawaii)?
