Swing State

This place is one of the best kept secrets in Lake County.  It has it all. Free Wi-fi, Free and Unlimited Dunkin Donuts coffee, cheap entry, and you can bring in whatever you want and smoke it. Good luck actually finding any place in the state where you can still smoke inside.

Swing State is a great place to knock out homework, hear all sorts of music, see some stand-up, play some games, or just watch something on your laptop while smoking a stogie or a cigarette. There is nothing like this anywhere around.  

Yes, I'm biased about this place after having been going here consistently for a year or two, but the bias exists for good reason.

Did I mention it probably has the best priced hookah in the area? If your a college student, this place is a must. Forget Panera or Caribou, cause
Swing State has it all.  In no other place have I been able to mosh while smoking a cigar, and then go back to my laptop and sip on some coffee. To make things even better if your 21+ and its past 11 am, you can get in free. This place stays open as long as your smoking hookah.

Seriously this place is an accident waiting to happen. There is only one way in and out. A supposed second door is blocked and the windows are either non-existant or boarded up. When I was there all I could think was if there was an emergency people would get hurt trying to get out.
It was WAY overcrowded. I cannot believe the health dept or fire dept would approve.

All-ages venue. It's a hard business to keep afloat, and they've been open long enough that they must be doing something right. Most all-ages venues are dark and smoky and this one does not fall short on these attributes. The schedule is wildly varied from night to night... from acoustic nights to dance nights to film nights to the kind of music you'd expect.

They're also a hookah lounge and advertise renting the place out for events.
