Well, it's basically your run of the mill daytona bar...the bartender the night we went was very helpful and attentive despite having a full bar to look after. The food is decent if your expectations aren't too high and really I'd only come back in as a matter of convienence

TERRIBLE!!!!!! We were served 6 year old stale crackers that tasted like moth balls. The fish and chicken were dry, overcooked, and over priced. However, the 10 dollar mozzarella sticks (four on a plate) were amazing. Everything else besides the cheese sticks and the karaoke was disgusting, the staff, the conditions, AND the food.

What a disaster. After I left and spoke to some of the locals they told me it was one of the worst places in Daytona Beach and they were right. Got there for a Monday night football game and since they're the first sports bar that comes up when you Google..Sports bars in Daytona Beach, thought it was the place to be. Wrong!! Karaoke night on a Monday night in a sports bar!! What? Beer is poured into a cup from the Dollar store. A craft beer draft was $9 in a plastic cup. What? Wings were the best part and they were just OK. I then ordered Mozzarella sticks. On the menu for $10. Figured I would get at the very least 7/8. Nope--4 of the nastiest, burnt sticks you will ever see. What? The bartender while pleasant kept running outside to smoke. What? And someone who I could only perceive as the owner/manager was dressed like a slob and I'd hang out at the bar for most of the night drinking. Talk about a need for a Bar Rescue?!?! I will never go back and will highly trash this place to anyone who wants to know. By the way, the place was filthy to boot.

Well If you are okay with spending $80 for just 4 burgers and a bourbon street salad then this is the place for you. They charge for everything. Who ever heard of a burger that comes with a few taco chips on the side? There should be fries people but no that is a $1 extra and mind you the burgers are by far not worth anywhere between $7 and $12 dollars yes that much everyone Oh and lets not forget there is a refill of 1 after your first drink soda or teas they charge for everything VERY DISAPPOINTING If you are just looking for a place for drinks there are many more along this stretch of A1A save your time and money go somewhere else even the appetizer prices are expensive $10 for mozzarella sticks and $6 for tater tots not kidding.. Don"t even get me started on the restrooms YUCK!!!

First time in Daytona in a long while and had to wait to get into our rooms. What do you an a Sunday afternoon in the fall but look for a place to watch football. We wound up at Tailgaters.
What a disappointment! First clue was the interior is 1970's shabby. Multiple TV's but not very well placed and the big screen picture so faded you could hardly see the images. Signs inside askew as well as pictures. Bathrooms questionable.
Service was slow/friendly. Tap beer offerings were limited. Burger's were pretty average.
Manager/owner constantly running around talking over the PA system about the various games and asking questions for a prize (shots).
All in all not a great experience, won't go back or recommend.

Awful service, Drunk owner hanging out at the bar, seemed accommodating when we were making plans the day prior but when we arrived their story changed. Stay away!!!!

I like to keep my wallet thick...and my wife likes coupons. Well, we bought a coupon from http://restaurant.com to eat out on a double date. Well, guess who was stingy? No, not me. The TAILGATER RESTAURANT!! The menu had ".50 sauce" plastered everywhere on it. Yes, even the KETCHUP. No compliments of using the salt and pepper. My friend and my wife ordered salad. My wife had dressing on it but the friend didn't. Of course, the friend objected. The waiter said ".50 cents and you may have dressing." What the heck!? We ordered Vegetable Spring Rolls too. They charged me .50 cents for teriyaki sauce. I had a hamburger, no mayonnaise. Provided at request. Ketchup? .50 cents charge. Another friend requested an exchange- instead of fries, onion rings please. "Oh, no, no, you can't mess with the menu. Full charge for the onion rings". *roll eyes* So, I step up to use the bathroom. I walk into the restroom and notice that my stall has no lock. I walk out and go to the next stall (handicap) and notice there's no lock. I decide that the smaller stall is better because I can hold the door shut. I go back and bend over only to notice there's no toilet paper. huh!? I walk back to the other stall and check the toilet paper. Nada. I walk out to see if there's any paper. There's toilet paper on the sink. Whew. The check comes in and the rule of using this coupon was to spend over $45 dollars and we would get a $25 discount. We were at 44.87. The waiter comes and say. "Can I charge you for a .50 cent dip so that we can bring the check up to $45?" We bursted out laughing. My friend asked the waiter, "Can we have some napkin please? Do you charge for it?" The waiter says in his most "oh, please, you are so silly! no way we would charge money for napkins." Well, we paid for ketchup. We walked out...saw a cat in their lobby. I foamed at the mouth "This is the WORST restaurant we have been to!" Tailgater, we're not coming back!

Seemed like an average sports bar. Didn't have the food so I have no comment about that. Wasn't a bad experience just nothing that stood out.

it rained so we had to leave the beach. waitress was extremely nice, comfortable ambiance. inadvertently tricked into checking in on foursquare. since it was unintentional, this did not affect the rating. dont get the cajun burger its not what u think. seasoned fries were very good and $7 pitchers were decent. this review was straight up.... oh... and ketchup packets not squirt bottles... cmon now

Karaoke was great!! Guy knows how to run it well. But the place smelled like vomit, bathrooms a disaster. Drinks were cheap but I'd rather go to the quality restaurants for cheap drinks in Orlando. It was dead on a Friday night but everything seemed dead, I was the last week of March so the spring break madness was over and done with. Keep walking southeast to the Ocean Deck pub.

We enjoyed Tailgaters..the food was very good. We did get a discount, thru http://restraunts.com. So...I recommend that site for a decent discount coupon first.

It's Daytona Beach, people - you're SUPPOSED to eat at Dive Bars, and Tailgaters is a great way to get started.

We ended up here late on a Thursday night. There was karaoke going on and only three beers on tap, but we didn't mind because we were starving and this place was still open serving food.

The menu is surprisingly extensive. They have a lot of food and it's all New Orleans themed. It's not cheap, surprising given the dive-bar nature of this place, but it is pretty yummy.

I had raw oysters which were pretty good, and a Bourbon Street Salad that was FANTASTIC. Chicken, shrimp, jack daniels bourbons marinade, banana peppers, black olives, and tomatoes - flippin delish!

My boyfriend had a Turkey Club and it was also really good. Their fries were spicy and yummy too.

So I guess you have to ask yourself one question when in Daytona: Do I hit the dive bars, or do I stick to Bubba Gump...? Well, after 11pm that decision will be made for you, so if you're stuck with dive bars, hit Tailgaters.

While on a trip to Florida for a turtle research study at Wekiwa Springs, we finished things off early one day and decided (well, one of us decided) to head to Daytona Beach.

After driving around and being thoroughly unimpressed with such a run down city, we decided to get something to eat, and settled on Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill.

The draught beer selection was dismal (3 different types of Budwiser, really?!) but they had several choices of bottles.

Tailgaters serves cajun/creole food. I ordered the Rice Lafayette, and was very disappointed. It tasted like they opened up a can of Bush's Baked Beans, added some tiny slivers of Andouille sausage, peppers, and onions to it and called it good. It was a sweet brown goop with rice on top. I've had authentic Red Beans and Rice before, and I can tell you, this is NOT it.

One of the other people in the group ordered the 5lbs of Crawfish. The crawfish *seriously* lacked flavor, and the "melted butter" Tailgaters serves with it is actually butter flavored griddle oil. I should know; I've cooked in restaurants that used the same yellow glop for breakfast potatoes.

Our server was pleasant and helpful, but the food was disappointing.
