Two words: Â Hot Chick. Â
No, I'm not talking about our waitress...or myself. Â I'm talking about the single breakfast item that made Bryan M. and I return 3 mornings in a row during our weekend trip to Taos. Â
Hot Chick = Buttermilk biscuit sandwich with one sausage patty, one egg, and spicy sriracha mayo. Â $3.95.
That's right, one of the most amazing breakfast sandwiches I've ever had, for under $4. Â So simple, yet they absolutely nail it, made with a gigantic homemade biscuit and that delicious sriracha mayo. Â It really doesn't get any better than that.
I also tried a pancake, which was as big as my head and perfectly fluffy. Â On our third and final trip I decided to branch out and went with the Southwestern Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled with spicy chorizo sausage and cheddar-jack cheese then topped with your choice of red or green chile. Â I took a tip from 4square and ordered mine Christmas style, which is both red and green chile. Â That's definitely the way to go, because they're both so good and completely different. Â Some of the best red and green chile I've had!
Next time in Taos, please do yourself a favor and head straight to Taos Dinner and order up your very own Hot Chick....I promise you will not leave unsatisfied.
