June 2013 We had good times attending this event. Second Saturday in June.  I will mark on my next year  calendar- I want to be there again. The bands were awesome, the food were great and the fun were just so memorable. We met friends and aquintance we havent had seen in years.
By the way, congratulation to The Basil for The Best Taste and Sassafras for Over All category. You guys deserve it.
This is a fundraiser for a great cause. Instead of paying $25 for a sub par buffet, come to downtown and for $35 you get amazing food and help out a great cause. So much good food, stomach was not big enough.
Get there at 5 for the best parking spots and avoid the lines. Around 7 the lines start but waiting 1 -2 min in a line isn't that bad. Â
If you don't want to pay for drinks, bring your own water bottle or 2.
Well, this year was pretty much of a bust, compared to previous years. The crowds were running pretty thin and there seem to be less vendor sponsors out there. OK, the weather was sort of lousy, all really windy, which made it cold. Lots of cops on horses watching and yakking with each other...OT is great isn't it? Pretty much a lack luster event, maybe due to the economic times. I, like many others just attend without buying a ticket that gives you tastes at each vendor. Glad I didn't as most of the food seemed on the skimpy side....what's with everybody serving mini burger slider like stuff? Oh well, maybe next year will be better.
