Good Authentic Thai food, it is a family owned restaurant. Server is wife and husband cooks in the kitchen. They are understaffed so it takes some time to come out on your table, but when food is good waiting doesn't matter a lot. We ordered some chicken starter , don't remember the name but it wad really good. I tried black pepper chicken good, but my friend ordered Cashew chicken , it was very good and quantity wise you can eat two times for sure. They give some onion salad complimentary dipped in some sweet water, it really tastes good.

If you really want to try Thai food, you should really go over there, at-least for Peoria its very good.

Wow! Tried to have lunch at Taste of Thai this afternoon. I must emphasize the word TRIED... Arrived to a 'please seat yourself' sign so we figured we would be in and out quickly. Plenty of seating available. Not acknowledged by anyone. No menus provided. My friend had to go grab them off the waiter station. Noticed a group of three diners reviewing menus without having been served drinks yet. Same experience as others have mentioned with just one individual serving. He came over to us and asked who had arrived first. We pointed to the group of three. He went and took their orders and then returned to our table. We ordered our food and had to ask to put drink orders in. Now to be fair, there was a larger party on the opposite side of the restaurant. We chalked it up to them just attending to that party. I also need to point out that we had less than 45 minutes for lunch. The waiter started to take orders from the larger party while we waited for drinks. We were then served the soup and spring roll that were included with our lunch specials. Still no drinks served at our table or the trio of diners'. The soup was barely warm and the tofu looked old and was falling apart. The spring roll started off pretty tasty until I bit down and felt something hard. I spit it out into my napkin and saw what appeared to be a rock. Yes, a rock. Thank goodness it didn't break my tooth!! We still hadn't given up hope though.. still no drink or entree. At 20 minutes remaining, I finally decided I'd had enough and put my coat on. The waiter came out of the kitchen at that moment and I let him know we had to leave to get back to work. He said he would check to see if the food was ready so we could take it to go and then disappeared into the kitchen again. After 2-3 minutes of waiting with no sign of the waiter, we threw $4 on the table and left. I had been there a few times before and the food was great. Sadly, this was my friend's first time there and I had recommended it. Eek! Unfortunately, the service and the rock I bit down on made today my last visit...

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in my adult life. First of all, the restaurant was absolutely freezing. My girlfriend, and several other customers, kept jackets on the entire time. I kept my scarf on. The service was unusually slow, despite the fact that there were maybe 9 people in the restaurant total. The most egregious thing, however, was that the waitress served my food a good 20 to 25 minutes before my girlfriend's food. The server kept insisted it was coming, but a few other people (who had ordered after us) received their food before my girlfriend. I can understand if the server forgot to write down an order or got it wrong, but communication would have been appreciated.

The food was decent -- but not nearly enough vegetables on the plate. A good three-fourths of the meal was rice noodles, with only three or four scattered pieces of broccoli and a paltry amount of shredded carrots. We ended up taking my girlfriend's meal to go, as we had both had enough of the slow service and freezing cold atmosphere. The one saving grace is that we were able to watch an entire hour long episode of a tv show on their enormous HDTV while we waited for our food. If I had had a $20 bill in my wallet, I would have put it on the table and left.
