Ok, so the place is good, the food is consistent (as with most chains) but the service is hit or miss. Â That is a small price to pay for a bison steak though. Â I will continue to come back to this Ted's. Â The dining room and bar are clean, food is delivered quickly, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Â Try this place next time you are out. Â BEWARE THE WAIT TIMES on Fridays and Saturdays as this place fills up fast!
Review Source:Yay! I'm a fan. Â
The left side of brain told us to try something totally different and we were glad to step into this place.
It was start of busy night and put our names on the wait list and sat at the bar. Â The bartenders were friendly and made us feel like we been coming her for years. Â Well, the truth was that it was our very 1st time. We have been coming to this area ever since it opened and was never compelled to visit this place. Â Well, we thought it was up scale steak place and we are not really into that too often. Â
While sitting at the bar, we could see the cooks working on burgers. Â they just scoop out the ground beef, weigh it and make a pattie and season and put in on the grill and put a cover.. Â appeared they were selling lot of burgers..
We sat down on the booth.. the service was immaculate, atmosphere was great, food was good. Â I had bison meatloaf and .. Â it was first time i think.. and was so so.. kinda on dry side.. and meat was very soft.. no texture feeling.. Â the sides were good.. the pickles that was served at the beginning was interesting.. Â i should went for the burger.. Â
oh well.. there is always next time!
* its always fishy to find 5 star review from a yelper with only one review.
Second review and 3rd being here in quite a short time.
I have to say the burgers are addicting and seriously best burgers I had for a long time - and so many different on the menue that you can easily try a few and will not be disappointed.
Had 3 different creations right by now including todays special the Canyon Creek (even it's a standard on the menue but "NEW" with Cheddar cheese, smoky bacon, fresh jalapeños, blackberry jam and a fried egg* "over-easy". And yes you read it correctly BLACKBERRY JAM!
Unusual combination BUT goes well together!!
My wife tried the Balsamic Bleu Steak (Grilled Certified Angus® beef sirloin, mixed greens, cucumber, crumbled Bleu cheese, smoky bacon, sliced vine-ripened tomatoes and a sweet balsamic glaze, topped with crispy fried onion straws). Its YUMMY!
It was the first time that we have been here for lunch disappointing that there is no lunch menue (or pricing) - so it's a la carte all day around.
I also notice the first time the paper straw (recyclable) and also checked out the back of the restaurant and all is somewhat "economic and nature friendly) including the soap in the bathroom - long time I've used crumbly soap but it's seriously cleaning better because kinda sandy and leaves a cleaner feeling behind...
Again, totally happy with my experience - great and friend staff PLUS without saying/asking refill your drinks while always having "an eye on you"...
Will be my favorite burger joint and will try out more.
Compliments and keep up the good work (food) and service).
We love this place! Â The service is always great! Â It is clear that TMG only hires people with great attitudes. Â We love their hamburgers! Â The hamburgers? Â Yes, you've got to check them out. Â Bison or beef - no matter. Â They have a special technique on cooking hamburgers. Â Everything else is good too. Â Overall, it's the great service that we really appreciate.
Review Source:I have to be perfectly honest - I didn't have exceedingly high expectations for Ted's. Â Dunno why. Â I just naturally associated it with other chain restaurants which were decidedly mediocre. Â However, our dining experience was a good one, so color me surprised.
I had a bison burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions and Monterey Jack cheese on a wheat bun and a baked sweet potato while my husband had the bison meatloaf. Â The burger and the meatloaf had a very robust, savory meaty flavor. Â The meatloaf was a bit sweeter because of the glaze they topped it with. Â The squash casserole that came as the side with the meatloaf was pretty good. Â It was nicely cooked, and the breadcrumb topping was a nice touch. Â Best of all, nothing was overly salty.
Oh, and they have cool straws made from recycled paper. Â Why don't more restaurants have these?
Our server was super chipper, and at the end of the meal, I told my husbad, "She reminds me of someone, but I can't put my finger on it..."
"Jaime Pressly," he said.
"THAT'S IT!" I said, probably a little too loudly since my exclamation made the bar patrons glance back at our booth.
To summarize, a good meal and a celebrity look-a-like waitress.
Average food, a little overpriced and not so good service. What can you really expect from a chain restaurant like this though. We had a http://restaurant.com gift certificate so we thought we'd try it out. I had the buffalo burger and the wife had some sandwich that she didn't really care for. I would eat here again because with the coupon it makes it affordable but just make sure you choose wisely from the menu.
Review Source:Ahhh. The memories of Colorado. . .
We had dinner here after a hard day of training (Darn you) and I can sure say it's well worth it. Â
Walking in felt a replay of Disney's Story Teller's Cafe and a mix of Claim Jumpers. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. Music was playing - can't remember what was on - but I'm glad it wasn't any of that yeehaw giddie up stuff that I've been listening to on the way there. The best thing was that I was able to hear the people in front of me. Kinda hard for me to ignore folks nowadays.
I had Salmon, and my colleague had Bison. I had a taste of it (not my first time) but it was pretty good. A little on the gamey side, but that was totally expected.
Cool place for dinner and to borrow an umbrella when it starts to pour right when you walk out the door.
We're at the Ted's ALL THE TIME. Â
We're certainly not Chain Restaurant people, but we're in Southlands Mall daily, and there are few food choices.
So when the movie lets out, and you're faced with either PF Chang's, Red Lobster or Ted's....well, Ted's it is.
The burgers are terrific, Rib Eye has 3 oz of grizzle and fat, but other then that...Ok...I guess.
Onion Rings are the worst...breaded not beer battered
Vegies are of the frozen variety.
So, why the 4 stars....it's local, it's not terribly expensive, and they'll make a 1/2 bison, 1/2 beef burger, just the way I like it. Â Black and Blue
I have been to this Ted's twice....the first time was NOT a good food experience. Â I absolutely love good food and Ted's didn't deliver. Â the service was horrible and the food just as bad....I even had to send my steak back.....it was awful. Â However, given that it had only opened the month before, I thought I had better try again after it had been opened awhile.
My hubby and I hit it again a month ago....for a late lunch before a movie. Â I ordered the blue cheese something bison burger....can't remember the exact name. Â It was awesome!! Â It was so darned juicy and delicious! Â I had trouble keeping the juicy thing together and I ate every damned bite! Â It was truly a sight to behold really....I am not a big girl and the burger was definitely too large for me! Â My hubby didn't even finish HIS :-) Â I had the fresh squeezed lemonade too and it was awesome!
Yes, I can eat....and eat....especially when the food is superior. Â It rather disappointed me the first time around but the second time was it's saving grace. Â :-)
We will have to go again and eat while we watch the kids skate at the ice rink this Xmas :-)
