  Where do I begin? Oh on how the co-owner is a racist and an asshole. Allow me to tell you my HORRIBLE experience at this crappy establishment. With the treatment I received within the first 5 minutes of being there I hope they won't be in business for too long. Came in town from Houston, Tx, where I have never had this problem by the way, and decided to go out with some of my old high school friends who also were from out of town. We linked up here and no one was at the door to take admission and the place was basically empty so we walked in. As we're walking to seating we were literally YELLED DOWN by a man AT THE END OF THE BAR wanting us to pay. First of all if you knew how to run a place you would be AT THE DOOR with a bouncer. It's $3 to get in why would we "try to avoid paying"? So we go to pay as we're paying he tells us, mind you he did not say this to the white people who were paying before us, "if you plan on sneaking to the bar next door while you're here, I suggest you to leave now?" We were so confused and looked at him confused and explained to him, not yelling, we just came for drinks and he replied "I don't like your attitude get out" what?! We were so confused because we literally just walked in and never been there before in life. I asked to speak to the manager and sadly he owned the place. Then as we're explaining to him, he SHOVES our cash back at us. Then said we were the "same black girls from last week". I haven't been to a Beaumont bar in years and this was not the experience I was seeking. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND HOSPITALITY! Don't Worry I recorded the whole experience and will be posting it online. We were wrongly treated! I was seriously disgusted and took my business to Madison's where we had a ball! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! ZERO STARS if I could!!

  After going through a few name changes over the years (Bobbie McGee's & The Hub), this Crockett Street Venue has finally got it right. I like the direction the new management has taken with this establishment. In fact, someone called this place a "hipster frat bar", which I would say is completely accurate. Tequila Rok has by far the most variety of music on Crockett Street. On any given night, you may hear anything from an Electronic Music Showcase to full blown Death Metal. Thursday Night is College Night, which gets insanely packed. The outdoor patio in the back is quite comfortable when the weather decides to cooperate and also nice for those who smoke. Depending on if there is a band playing, there may or may not be a cover charge, but it is usually inexpensive ($5 or less). I'd definitely go to Tequila Rok over any of the other Crockett Street Venues.

  Prices are reasonable, cover charge is always minimal (if any), constant and good live music on the super nice patio.

  I haven't been the biggest fan of the Crockett Street scene, but I do dig this place. Tequila Rok is a bar with a little something for everyone, DJs, live music, and a good place to catch some of the best bands the area has to offer. Thursday nights are college night, so drink specials, DJs & washers can keep you satisfied & entertained. On a normal night you can drop in & grab a nice strong drink or a beer and, if you're lucky, stumble upon some great FREE food cooked by Adam & the other wonderful people of Tequila Rok. This place offers a perfect combo of early in the week chill nights, college night scene, and puts on some killer live shows. Cover charge for shows is always reasonable (about $5) and they also put on quite a few free shows. Not to mention you can't beat $2 Lone Stars with a stick. Indoor & outdoor stages, huge back patio with plenty of booths, tables, & dance space, & all things that are good. If ya haven't been here, or haven't been in a while, I def recommend checking it out.

  Tequila Rok is located in the middle of Crockett St. in downtown Beaumont. They seem to being having some good local bands playing there lately and the last couple times I've gone to TR have been pretty fun. Prices are reasonable and I haven't had any problems getting a drink quickly. When bands are playing there will be a cover. I'm not a fan of the Crockett St. bars usually, but if I do end up down there Tequila Rok is most likely one of my stops. The patio is a really great spot wit lots of booths and a smaller bar outside. The down side of this place is the fact that it's 18 and up. So, if that sounds good to you, go for it.
