Considering it was chain dinning experience it was still very  uninspiring. And most disappointing. Our party of five experienced spotty food quality of the individual orders. Korean tacos almost devoid of any beef; all lettuce. Order of potato skins  overcooked . Chicken fingers dry.Cream spinach was disgusting and dipping chips stale.
Table service non existent. Decor, seating tired and worn. Our visit was on a Sunday early afternoon. Only one other table customer and two people at bar. Staff just stood around and talked. No door greeter or bartender. Only reason we stop the child in our party wished to go.
Stick with the JD Burger!
My son and I ate at TGI Thursday 3/28 before a movie. He had the burger which was great. Â I had the Korean steak tacos. They arrived piled high with lettuce, overflowing which was a bad sign... Moounds of lettuce meant something was hiding below. I was wrong... There was nothing hiding under the lettuce except perhaps an ounce of Korean steak, no exageration. I told the server to keep the tacos. The manager muttered something about corporate portion control but I would guess Mr. Friday would have returned these lame tacos too.
Hey Mr. Friday... These were lame and I won't be back.
Excuse any spelling errors, on my little bberry screen!
I am not a big fan of chains but I ended up at TGIF's tonight out of convenience and a desire for their pasta. I sat at the bar. Excellent service provided by Donald. Anticipated needs and was perfect. I ordered a salad and the chicken and shrimp fettuccini.
Salad was good. One of my pet peeves is when the food comes out as you are still  eating your salad. That happened tonight which I know is probably expected at a chain. I just felt rushed. Oh well. Pasta was fine. Seems like the portion has really reduced and at $14.99  it should have been a bit more generous. Vast majority was chicken vs. maybe three little pieces of shrimp. And the dish only had two pieces of red pepper which was important enough to list on the menu but not put on plate?
Overall it was a decent meal. Not one that drives you back but it also won't drive you away.
#TGIFRIDAYS #StAug: Normally I don't do chain restaurants or all you can eat places. I needed a quick bite and found this place to be surprisingly decent.
Had the soup and salad lunch.
Selection of two soups. The waitress was aware enough to point out that they were both made with beef stock, although they were vegetarian sounding. Â I tried them each of them: The Tomato was ok & I found the Cream of Broccoli above average.
The Caesar salad dressing was unique, which is almost never a word I use for a chain. It was a bit heavier and creamier than usual but after being taken back, it turned out to be pretty tasty.
Pricing was excellent at $6.99 and this included bread.
As mentioned above, service was very good, and while I can't see go back in the near future, for people looking for a light and/or filling lunch option one can definitely do worse than this.
Awful. Terrible.
Please visit if you want your meal microwaved and overpriced.
My girlfriend and I went here on Friday...lol. My girlfriend decided it would be cool to for to TGIF on a Friday. Place was empty to my surprise. But then I realized why!
Food was disgusting. Luckily we ordered 3 Long iIslands a piece before eating. Our food was MICROWAVE FRESH!
Appetizer was still cool in the middle with little Ice chips. So was my $13 burger.
The waitress was probably the best I have had in years! (FACT!)
She was attentive, funny, and knew everything about the drinks and specials, brought us free chips and lovely.
FOOD - HORRIBLE
I have been to many TGIF
1 in JAX
Several in Boston and surrounding areas
This was the worst!!!
This was my first visit to the rebuilt TGI Friday's. I had been in a few times before probably 8 or 9 years ago, but since then there was a fire that closed the place down for about a year and a half. Having recently reopened, I figured I would swing in and see if anything had changed, and I suppose it did, but not by much.
Everybody knows what Friday's is- the decor is the same no matter where you go, although I did notice this one had a lot less trash on the walls, and actually had some artwork and paintings, which was kind of refreshing. I went in on a Friday night at about 10 pm, and the place was DEAD. Plenty of tables available, but I sat at the bar. The service was actually very good, the bartender was very cool, attentive, and made sure I was taken care of, so I have no complaints there. Ordered the Jack Daniels sliders and a couple of pints of Sam Adams. The beer was delicious, as it always is, but the sliders were TERRIBLE. The beef was WAY overdone, charred and crispy, the buns were microwaved, it just came out looking terrible and tasted even worse. Looking around, it was obvious everybody else was in the same state of mind... I had contemplated getting the quesadilla, and somebody near me had gotten it, and it looked almost as bad as my burnt sliders.
Overall, I did have a good time, the service was great, and the Sam Adams was awesome. The great thing about Friday's is that they're open WAY later than the other restaurants in the 312 / US 1 intersection, so you can hang out and put down a few icy cold pints. I just wouldn't recommend doing anything else, maybe it was the late hour and the kitchen was trying to close down, or maybe all their food just sucks, but I won't be going back to eat anytime soon.
