I went to this sports bar to watch football on a Sunday and really had a good time. They have 12 large screen HDTV's and the NFL ticket so you can watch whatever game you want.
There were a whole lot of Steelers' fans there. Everyone who comes in during the games on Sunday gets a ticket and they pick one game (Jags if they are playing) and every time there is a score they draw a number and the winner gets to drink free until the next score. They offer beer bucket specials during the games. They also have free hot dogs on Sunday and free chicken wings during Monday night football. Since they do not serve food, they do not mind if you bring in outside food (Sharkey's Shrimp Shack is next door).
There are also three pool tables for your enjoyment if you are so inclined, and the staff was really nice.
This is a pretty nice little sports bar... anytime I think of sports bars, I generally think of dark, hole-in-the-wall type places that are usually rundown, serve cheap beer and liquor, and you can watch one or two games on 3 27" color TV's while dodging fighting rednecks.
This, my friends, is not one of those places. It doesn't look like much, it sits by itself right off US 1, but once you get inside, it's a great atmosphere with a LOT of choices for your entertainment. You can sit at the bar, which sits around 20 people, or at one of the tables scattered throughout the place. The bar is very well stocked, a lot of great liquors and bottled beers, and of course the usual suspects on tap. The bartenders here know their stuff, and I've never had bad service... even if they're busy, they always notice when you're running low and make sure to keep you drinkin'.
Now to the "Sports" part... they have about 15 different big screen HDTV's hooked up to various different sports. They offer up virtually EVERY NFL game on a Sunday, NASCAR races, college games, baseball games, anything you're looking for. There are also 3 or 4 pool tables spread out throughout the bar, and they're usually not always full if you feel like playing. There is also an interactive trivia game you can play on the tv's using these wireless remote controllers. In the event that there aren't many sports games happening, they offer up different nights, like free pool night. There is a kick ass jukebox available for playing all different types of music, and a cigarette machine if you smoke... and yes, you can actually smoke inside this place. I'm not a smoker myself, but I understand if you're in a sports bar, you should have the right to enjoy yourself... if you can't be around cigarettes, stay outta here!
The prices of the drinks, pool games, are pretty good. I think draft beers are around 2 bucks, mixed drinks 4 or 5... definitely not a bad prices compared to what you would pay at other restaurants, and the service is good. No matter where you sit, you have a great view of a sporting event on a TV, and they're usually willing to play whatever you'd like to watch. Overall, I've enjoyed myself every time I go in. Even on the busier nights, i.e. Saturdays, the place will be packed with a great atmosphere, but you will still be able to find a place to sit, have some drinks, and make some friends. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is that they don't offer up UFC fights or boxing fights... If they did, I'd be in here every single weekend, but if you're looking for a great night out with some drinks and sports, check it out!
