Theresa's Grill

The sign above boasts southern food, open 24 hours.  Inside, its my favorite variety of david lynch diner style.  Theresa and her man are always working as far as I can tell.  He'll be excited if you order his hillbilly hashbrowns which involve some Cincinnati style thin chili, cheese and onions.  Its okay.  About as nasty as one would imagine, without being quite as tasty as I hoped.
Burgers are just okay, but you know what? You're in Gage Park at the only non-mexican/non-super china buffet within six blocks.   Everything is cheap, so stop whining already, right?

So what's with the door marked bodega which is open just enough so I can see that there's a back room filled with electronic slot machines?

I can tell you that the bodega earned Theresa an extra star!
