Thirsty Beaver

Maybe my mind is just in the gutter, but...when someone told me the name of this place, I thought it was...um...questionable. Perhaps it is just me, sooooo. I digress.

So I went here for a going-away party for a dear friend.  It has a great patio, but unfortunately the weather was iffy so there were no tables set up on this humid summer evening.  BUT, they have nightly specials, and Mondays are $2 domestic beer night (and I am talking drafts)! Really? Yes please!

So armed with a frosty draft beer that cost me less than a bottle of water at the movies, we moved onto food.  I got the Wild Turkey burger, which had fresh mozzerella, tomato, red onion, spinach, and balsamic with a turkey burger on a wheat bun.  It was really good!  Was it the best burger I have ever had? No, but it did hit the spot for sure.

The standout for food, though, was one of the appetizers we got.  It was called the Knightsville "log roll" (aka eggroll).  It is an eggroll wrapper stuffed with Italian cold cuts, cheeses and roasted peppers.  I could have made a meal just out of those.

And I should mention our server Brooke.  We were here for a large part of the night - I am talking like 7 at night until almost midnight - and our server was fast, friendly, and very gracious.

Three stars because I just wish the music was a wee bit softer so I didn't have to yell for my friends to hear me. I would go back for sure...but hopefully to sit on the patio, where conversations maybe easier.

Sorry, but this place is not worth going to.

My girlfriend and I visited Friday night, before the live music started. The place was packed, but we managed to find a table.

Upon entering you are hit with very loud music and tables placed too close together.

We both ordered a beer, a draught and a bottle- both were not cold.

Looking over the menu we found the options limited- basic bar food. We ordered a pizza and the waffle fries- both recommended by our server...

The fries tasted like they had been cooked in old grease & the pizza had no crunch. We also had to wait quite some time for our check to be brought over.

Overall, I do not recommend this place.

Fun concept, great decor, and menu.  Food and service were average...however, the two other people I dined with thought the food was excellent, so try it yourself!
