It's about time I reviewed The Avery, yet another hidden treasure that proves the West Side is the best side. Sandwiched between Broadway and Westminster, at the convergence of two streets (one cobblestone) in a quiet neighborhood, sits a dark Italianate house that looks like a personal home. Inside, an unexpectedly elegant interior of warm, rich hardwood, dim lighting, and bright smiles. Booth, table, and bar seating under a beautiful tin ceiling. Full bar in the every sense of the word, from the libations to the chairs.
Review Source:I thoroughly enjoyed this bar! Got a comfy seat next to the window, perfect atmosphere to chill out and relax with a cocktail. I was in love with the music they played - Echo and the Bunnymen, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Psychedelic Furs, The Church...etc. I'll be back for the ambiance, drinks and music!
