Pretty worthy Federal Hill grub.
Are the portions a bit small? Perhaps a little.
But the food was good.
Our table went family style - which worked for our group - so we were able to work our way through a good run of the menu. They even put together a family salad on one large platter that was fantastic for a plate of greens and dressing.
Home runs: tagliatelle with fungi and cream sauce - amazing; caprese salad - the buffala mozz was incredible; salmone carpaccio; bolognese sauce; and good olive oil on the table. Â I'm guessing their pasta is pretty fresh.
Near misses: the decor - what's with the 80's turquoise & pink chairs??? the tempura squash blossoms; the pizza with salmon - it was not offensive, but seemed to miss the mark.
Service was fine.
I'd go back, but lots of competition on the Hill will probably make it a rare stop for me.
3.5 stars for me.
