If you're looking to lay low & in the West End, then this is the place to be at. Super chill atmosphere with a surprisingly large alcohol selection compared with other small establishments. There is shuffle board inside and a small patio for smokers on the outside. Hardly ever a cover (I've personally never encountered one) & the bartenders are very attentive. On some nights there will be live entertainment/musicians. In fact, this is the only place in the West End that occasionally hosts DJ's who play vinyl/mix live & actually play a groovy selection of tunes.
Review Source:I agree with Henry's review. This is a small bar and there isn't a wait to get a beer. Ladies...it's a meat market sometimes as there is an over abundance of men and a lack of groups of women. At least, that was my experience.
For a smaller bar they have one hell of an alcohol selection. The bartenders were attentive and friendly.
Thirstys is a smaller bar & off the beaten path as far as bars go in this area. If you're wanting to skip the downtown scene & meet some cool people, this is a good place to do so. Some of the greatest bartenders you'll find, strong drinks, shuffleboard, & they'll even feed you if you come early. Live music on occasion, a cozy little patio in the back, & always a great time. Stop by on a Sunday for some entertainment from the regulars, & some wonderful service from some amazing bartenders.
Review Source:Place is OK I've been here about 3 times... not a really big place i mean with about 20 people i think it will be at capacity... the times I've been here there's really not alot of people around and well real easy to get a drink when its not crowded! There's shuffleboard which is a plus and a little patio in the back of the place which is good for the smokers....
