I stopped into this place expecting a high concept Celtic style tavern. This is high concept, but not exactly one for me.
There are quite a few beers on draft, but frankly given the great selection of amazing local brews and specialty beers, I was very underwhelmed with the selection. More interesting were a couple of beer cocktails I enjoyed which included a beergarita and a mixture of beer, whiskey and cinnamon schnapps.
The menu is pedestrian. However, I did find an unusual steamed clam appetizer which piqued my curiosity. I would have been 100% better if it weren't so salty. The bill wasn't correct because they were showing a special for beer cocktails which wasn't reflected on my tab, but they fixed it for me after I caught it.
The high concept plays itself out in the form of very scantily clad twenty something waitresses who practically coo at you if there's a bigger tip in it for them. When they figured out that teeny bikinis and panty-high mini kilts didn't do it for me, my husband and my best friend, we were sort of ignored. Â All that's missing in this place is a stripper pole.
Went here with work with a mixed gender group. The service was slow and my food was brought old cold. I am not sure if it was because there were females in our group, but the waitress had a poor attitude. Most of the servers seemed bored to be there. Also try to tuck in the bra padding away so its not sticking out if you want to give off that illusion as a selling point. Â Pricing is a little higher than a Chilies, but it seems to still be mostly frozen food that is heated up like any other chain. Also, why are they flying a British flag on the ceiling? Tolerable, but would not go out of my way to eat here.
