SSSOOOOOO GOOD! I found this place because we love toreros in cottage grove and have for 15 years! Last time we visited CG we stopped in and the lovely owner remembered me from so many years ago, that's how much we used to eat there. Told her I wished we had one in eugene and she said her husband runs one in springfield! We ate there last week and it was SO, SO GOOD! The nachos never disappoint and the veggie fajitas were BOMB! It's hard to find good mexican food but this place has never let me down! It was clean, our server was sweet as pie and the portions were HUGE and it was just a great deal. It is a bit dark in there w/o any windows but I don't care when I eat food this good! Give them a chance and you will not be disappointed. Can't say anything for their meat but the veggie foods are so so so so so good! Watch out for the hot plates! Thanks toreros!
Review Source:This place was busy. Â Did not pay much attention to us. Â Food was OK.
Was coming back from white water rafting and was STARVING. Looked on yelp and found this place. Â They were busy abut took forever to get our drinks and felt rushed. Â I ordered the shrimp wrapped bacon and it was very good. Â Â Didn't offer us dessert.
Excellent food, so-so service. I come for lunch occasionally. The portions are bountiful, served hot, very appetizingly arrayed on the plate, and not overpriced. Staff can be friendly or indifferent, depending on whom you happen to get that day. I recommend the combination plates (especially the #18), and the nachos--the nachos are made with a different type of chip than I've had at anyplace else in this area, and I eat at a LOT of Mexican restaurants. Get one of their HUGE mugs of Dos XX beers with a lime--I dare you to drink two! While not the greatest Mexican food in the area, I never hesitate to recommend this place. Other locations include Harrisburg and Cottage Grove. Never have eaten at either of those locations.
