Been here twice, food is fair. Â 1st time my pizza was dropped on the groud and then offered to me. haha.....
Gave it another chance, 2nd time was better, food came out fast and not on the floor. But the quality of food is fair at best, my dish was shirmp scampi. It maybe had 5 shirmps on the plate and a ton of poor quilty angel hair pasta that was over cooked. It is a nice and large place inside was a cool outside area as well. Good place to drink a glass of wine but not eat.
Travinia gets 4 stars if I was only rating it on its ambience and outdoor patio. The patio is fantastic - couches surround firepits, bartenders from inside the restaurant serve you as you sit upon stools out in the fresh air, and it's a prime spot for people watching in Potomac Town Center.
However, I have to give Travinia only 3 stars because their food simply isn't that great. The Eggplant Parmesan, Lobster Ravioli, & traditional Spaghetti were all underwhelming. Not bad, per se, but completely unimpressionable. Their goat cheese almond salad and the crab Alfredo dip are my favorite dishes I've tried.
Their wine & martini selection is pretty good, but their beers on tap leave much to be desired. I was also surprised that a draft of Yuengling was $5.75. That wouldn't be surprising in downtown DC, but it seems high for Woodbridge.
I'd recommend Travinia for a nice night out on their patio. Just don't expect to blown away by your meal.
