For once the Tri's has a restaurant that offers a variety of drinks, food, and atmosphere.
The Martini's & Drink's: Â Egh... $10 for a martini is overpriced especially since they are prepared with pre-made generic sugary syrups. I really think the martini list and combinations are innovative, -for the Tri-Cities but certainly not anything that hasn't already been done. I already have a hard time paying $10 for a cocktail in Portland but now that I have a drink in that price range to compare it to -I need to man up because these $10 drinks in Portland have been infused on site and made from fresh squeezed/made juices, definitely worth it compared to drinks made at Twist with generic mass produced flavored syrups.
The beer list is nothing short of usual- it's your typical Kennewick sports bar tap list: Coors lite, Bud lite, Blue Moon, nothing of real taste or to please the craft beer enthusiast.
The Grub: Â The food wasn't all that great, and not all that bad considering most of it comes from a pre-packaged vacuum sealed bag. We were a larger group of 5 Â and each ordered something different and shared our appetizers and meals. My Argentinian fish tacos appetizer which I ordered like a meal -was dry like cotton and lacked the aioli garlic zing, a flop. The Bruchetta Flat bread was worth a double order- I think I could have eaten a batch of that alone! The Pork Osso Bucco was fall off the bone -as it should be prepared, delicious in preparation but salty, Waiter, More Water Please!
We ended our meals with an order of the drunken doughnuts and meh... unique sauce flavors but the doughnut holes must have been from a hostess box..
The service: Â Our server was a doll, she keep our drinks coming, easy to chat with, laughed at our lame jokes and I felt like we were homies from middle school. She did a fantastic job of making up for the lack of taste. Being that this is the one spot where you can mingle with your girlfriends over drinks and appetizers aside from PF's and Bonefish, I will be back to give it an other shot!
I'm not of age, so all I've really had to base this place on is their food.
It's not great.
One poor experience in particular was with one of their steak sandwiches. I had to give up less than halfway through due its ridiculous toughness. I don't know what the cut was, but it wasn't worth any amount that we paid.
I've also had their happy hour turkey sliders. Not bad, but nothing to rave about.
People hoot and holler about their gorgonzola fry sauce, but $3 extra for a little side cup? Nuh-uh.
I have a feeling that people wouldn't fall for the prices here if it were in a bigger city. Don't let the chain-restaurant (which it is, to note) "ooh" and "ahh" ambiance fool ya.
The service was bad from start to finish. From taking to long to get our orders, Â forgetting drinks, coleslaw did not have any dressing and when a different dish was served it was like nothing was on it anyway, crab mac & cheese was tasteless and used blue crab,,, hello we are in the northwest what happened to Dungeness, seating was very cafeteria style with not really any privacy without hearing the next tables conversation, Â fish & chips was good but nothing special, the pit ham and pulled pork was terrible and to top it off my husband spent the rest of our evening in the bathroom; coincidence maybe. I would not waste my money here again.
Review Source:Ambience: 5 stars
Food: 3.5 stars
Service: 2 stars
We have tried Twigs 3 times...the rating is the same.
I think because there are not many trendy restaurants in Tri-cities, that helps keep Twigs in business...wish they would better train their staff!
1. Greet your table within a few minutes of being seated. This includes bar area also. 2. Be attentive to your guests and their needs. 3. Smile and be friendly. 4. Hostess: quit visiting with each other so much and pay attention to customers...with a smile, greet customers as soon as they walk in. If not busy, open door for customers.
food was good, small portions for the price.
service was typical for Washington...fair. For the price they charge they need better and more refined and experianced wait staff. Hard to find but if you dont it will cost you in the long run. Â This is na typical shopping mall type of restaurant..very franchisey feeling. Bar was out of Jamison Irish. My daughter love the place but she is 25 and doesnt eat much. Â It is sort of a I want to feel good about myself place rather than I want great food and service place. Â For the Tri Cities it is probably a 4 star place. Food sits for a long time waiting for a waitress to pick it up.
Owner: Any waitress should be able to deliver food. Use a team aproach and not a thats not my table aproach. There are vibrating pagers you can get wait staff. You get what you pay for in wait staff.
I will start with the good and say that I have always enjoyed the food and drinks at Twig's and I guess that is why I have gone back a few times. However, from the very first time I visited, I found the service to be pretty awful! The bartenders acted arrogant and ignored me for long periods of time. I asked for recommendations from the martini menu and the bartender very brusquely gave 2 ideas. Neither sounded very good to me and when I chose something else he seemed offended and was very short with me the rest of the time I was there. My second experience was much better as my friend and I sat in the dining area instead of at the bar. The waitress was very friendly but seemed a bit unprofessional. On yet another instance I sat alone at the bar again and the bartender, a woman this time, seemed genuinely annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted to order immediately upon sitting down. She walked away and I sat for another 10 minutes before being waited on. Later as I was eating my dinner she came and leaned on the bar in front of me and proceeded to gossip about another customer sitting further down the bar. I found this to be EXTREMELY unprofessional! Lastly, and after writing all this I don't know why I ever wanted to go to Twig's on Christmas, but being alone and away from family this holiday I wanted a good drink. Well, I was irritated to find that there was nothing posted on the website about holiday hours and when I called there was not even a recorded message to let me know when they would reopen. Once again, very unprofessional!
Review Source:When I come to Kennewick to see my most fabulous friend Debbie, we always make a trip to Twigs. And it is always filled with laughter, tasty food, and maybe a funny story we get to walk away with :)
First time here I had some butternut squash bisque which was heavenly! I also had a greek salmon sandwich. YUM! I have also split a warm spinach salad and the fries with my friend here too which were also tasty. I know I have had other food, but my mind is failing me right now.
It's trendy and cute inside. Low light and polished looking. Can be loud depending upon where you sit inside.
As for drinks, I've had "The Blood Orange", "French 75" and the happy hour Classic Mojito. And I enjoyed all of them.
Last time wer were there we sat in the bar, and some friendly gentlemen of the cowboy variety, were trying to be very chatty. We had a good laugh walking out to the car afterwards. For us we usually wind up with a story.
Whenever I roll around into the Tri-Cities again, I'm sure we'll stop by :)
Drinks good, the waitress who helped us great, the people bringing the food, not too good.
Tip: keep an eye on the HOT TABLE where your food is sitting and see how long it sits there before they bring it.
Got in and altercation with a member of staff there (not the waitress) about my food sitting on the hot table too long before it was delivered to me, then made me look like a fool when I asked if they had a particular sauce.
So disappointing. Â Haven't been here for several months, and wandered over around 1 p.m. on a Saturday. Â The small patio out front appeared to be nearly full, causing me to think, wow, they must be slammed. Â But upon entering, there were only a few tables occupied in the main dining room, and in the bar there were two tables of two people each.
Pros:
This place makes one of the best lemon drops in the Tri-Cities.
Decor - very nice.
Now off to why I have demoted this place to two stars....
1. Â Chose to sit in the bar. Â I mean, we had the pick of the place, seriously. Â Picked out a table and sat. Â Realized that this table, while devoid of dishes, still had chunks of food on it. Â Not crumbs, chunks. Â Gross. Â We got up and moved over one table. Â Dirty. Â Not chunks like the last table, but mega crumbs. Â Wondering if this was going to become a game of "Let's Keep Moving Tables," we brushed off the crumbs onto the floor. Â By the way, in the nearly hour we were there, no one cleaned the dirty table next to us. Â I know there was a busperson, because I overhead him telling a customer who came in for a quick shot of whiskey that that was his job. Â He was apparently too busy fiddling with tomato juice cans behind the bar to finish cleaning this table. Â But let's move on.....
2. Â What have you done to the food? Â My husband ordered the sausage and jalapeno pizza and I ordered the Blue Steak Sandwich, described as follows:
Hand cut Culotte steak grilled medium, with tomato, crispy onions, romaine, lemon garlic aioli and melted gorgonzola cheese served on a French roll.
I sure tasted the garlic aioli, but  if there was gorgonzola on the sandwich, I didn't taste it.  What mystified me was why the steak wasn't cut into manageable slices -- it comes in one big thick piece.  Big enough where Mr. S jumped into "mother mode" and reminded me to take small bites lest I choke.  Okay, the sammy wasn't that big of deal but let's move on to the pizza, a former favorite of mine.  We like spicy VERY much, but what have you done to this pizza?  In addition to the jalapenos, whoever cooked this beast sprinkled on a hella lot of red pepper flakes, making this sucka nearly inedible.  Mr S gave me a small bite and it was ridiculous.  I had to reach for my lemon drop, which takes me to #3.........
3. Â My lemon drop was empty. Â And had been for a long time. Â So was Mr S's beer. Â Turns out, the bartender (who was otherwise very nice) was our server, and although he did not appear rockin' busy, he neglected to check on us for refills OR offer us water (especially when a spicy dish was ordered). Â No eye contact, nuttin'. Â UNTIL we finished that last bite, whereupon he made eye contact (oh, hello!) and asked, you guys want another? Â No thanks, check please.
Yeah, surprised. Â Maybe they save the "A" team for the evenings when the place packs out with the cool people looking for cool martinis, but in any dining situation, cleanliness, edible food, and good service are critical components of ensuring that a customer returns. Â Separately, these wouldn't have been such a big deal, but in combination -- it turned out to be one puzzling dining experience.
I've been here a few time and will definitely be back. Unfortunately the food and service is inconsistent. One every 5-7 visits a server will forget me or the food will come out horrible. They're quick to fix it... usually. I would come back more often but the chance of a bad experience is just too high. So instead one every other month with a group of friends is fine.
Review Source:Been to Twigs lots...have to sadly say service and quality have gone downhill a bit. We were there around 3pm so it wasn't busy...don't get me wrong out server was nice and very helpful when my food came out cold (when it finally did). Was with the family. Ordered two appetizers, one didn't come out until our meal. Had our server asked if we wanted another beverage - I would have ordered one. I like their menu and I wish I could rate them higher.
Review Source:Had a really enjoyable lunch here.
Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a few drinks and a meal.
The drinks were okay - had a classic Margarita and a Huckleberry Lemon Drop. Nothing too special or impressive in terms of preparation or balance of flavors.
Twigs Signature Burger - Really tasty and prepared extremely well. The fries were great too. Very aesthetic looking plate - and they say you eat with your eyes...
Orange Chicken Salad - This one was a let down. The chicken had too much breading and the pieces were cut too big. Not as pleasing to look at, and more importantly it didn't taste very good. Â Would not order this salad again.
The service was excellent. He was very observant and very polite.
The atmosphere is awesome. Both inside and outside, Twigs is stunning to look at.
I have a love/ hate relationship with all Twigs...
I find their menu limited and over priced (have to pay for the cost of building such a beautiful place)
I also don't agree with how they pile on so many flavors to most of their menu items. Seriously, take a look at the menu and descriptions - its flavor on top of flavor...
But with all that said - I do enjoy my time at Twigs when I do go. Â Love? Hate?
So first off, the food is DELICIOUS. We had the Under the Sun pizza, perfecto! Finished with the Drunken Donuts, and let me just say we don't normally splurge for dessert, but it was well worth the $6. Especially the amaretto creme.
The service was really good. Drinks stayed filled, wasn't too long or too much interruption. The only thing here service wise that I found sort of  intimidating was our waiter walked up to our table and just looked at me without even asking a question. Like it took me a moment to realize why he was standing there - I was getting low on my drink. Nothing major, and I didn't deduct anything for it. Was just a little uncomfortable.
So why the 3/5?
1 - the drinks were really, really strong. I can handle my liquor. But when you pay $8+ per drink, it's hard to swallow when it tastes like rubbing alcohol with a hint of raspberry instead of raspberry with that bitter aftertaste, you know?
1 - The prices. The food is great, but for two people we spent $60, and I really think that some price cuts (there was a pork dish for 21.99) would benefit them a bit.
Otherwise, probably  new every-so-often favorite for me!
EDIT: Went back, and going to go ahead and up this to a 4/5 stars, but still -1 due to price.
As luck would have it, Alaskan Copper River salmon was in season so that's what I ordered. Cooked perfectly (just seared) - this place did its job satisfying my craving for a really good piece of salmon. If you are visiting the area and see Copper River salmon on the menu, this is a must try (you can always order beef some other time!)
The gorgonzola fries are amazing too - you don't even need the gorgonzola..the fries are perfect on their own.
I usually don't really care about how a restaurant looks like if they make great food, but I couldn't help noticing the effort put into making this place a fine dining location. Very nicely decorated. The patio area is a very pleasant place to hang out for dinner.
An unexpectedly nice restaurant in the middle of the desert!!
KPI (Key Performance Indicator) ratings (1-5, 5 - best):
Quality: 5
Delivery/Service: 4
Cost: 4
One of the few places I miss in the Tri-Cities, amazing food and I only wish they had come to town sooner so I could have visited more than three times. All three visits I ordered something different and each was more amazing than the next. I read a lot of reviews about bad service, but I never had a problem other than it was very busy the first time I came right after they opened on a Saturday night-totally understandable.
When are you going to further your expansion to the west side of the state? I miss this place!!!
HAVE YOU EVER HAD GORGONZOLA FRIES?
Omg they were pretty much the best fries I've ever ever ever had.
My partner and our gang were in the private room, which was a lot of fun. Â There was another party in there (about 15). Â It was a lot of fun. Â Yayay.
The drinks were great. Â Pretty much, I was a big fan of this place. Â Whenever we return to TriCities from Seattle, we'll probably hit Twigs up.
I travel to Kennewick every other week and have been to Twigs a few times. It's usually fine...three stars...but tonight I struggle to give it two.
Let me preface this by saying that a woman dining alone is usual an indication to the wait staff that they're going to end up with a small tip. I know this...I waited tables in college. However, not only am I on an expense account, but because I used to wait tables, I'm a ridiculous tipper! It drives my husband nuts. Not only that, Twig's management, but I also have to cater events for my business that are worth thousands of dollars. Pay attention to your singles! I can tell you that I will not be using your restaurant for any events anytime soon.
My waitress had the personality of a wet dishrag...sat for ten minutes before she even showed. Got my order wrong and when she asked me if  she could box up the pizza of which had only one piece (it sucked) or the majority of my salad (also sucked) and I said no she just shrugged and said "OK". Not was there anything wrong, can I get you anything else?
I would have given Twig's one star but I have had fair service and food here before so I threw them a two. I want to love this place...it has so much potential! But get it together, would ya?
I really do like this place, that is if I am looking for somewhere cool to have a drink with my girlfriends. Â It has a really awesome bar area, probably one of the best in the tri-cities, and great drink selections. Â Their food is, reasonably priced, but nothing that really stands out as GREAT. I get the steak salad, and it comes with a good portion of steak, and it is good, but just that......good. Â I had the black and blue steak, it was cooked as I ordered it, but just didn't stand out. Â I also have had the Osso Bucco several times, didn't really love it, it comes with a creamy sauce and I prefer my Osso Bucco in a marinara sauce.
Go there on a Friday night for cocktails with friends, but not necessarily for the food (again, the food isn't terrible, just not GREAT)
I finally got around to trying Twigs (I had been hearing about it from so many people), and I have been back twice in the last month for happy hour with friends. Â One night the four of us tried all the small plates on the happy hour menu. Â The bistro nachos were my favorite. Â A fun twist on a familiar staple. Â The martini menu is vast (and expensive). Â I have tried the bellini-tini and the blood orange martini. Â The blood orange martini is delicious! Â Next time I'm going to try the pomegranate martini, as I have heard it is good, as well.
On both visits, the service was prompt and attentive. Â Very nice. Â Fun atmosphere. Â Pretty upscale for the Tri-Cities! Â During both visits, the restaurant and bar were both packed. Â Some time soon, I need to go back and try a meal.
Great restaurant and martini bar, although they also serve other drinks as well. Â I think the service, food, and drink quality was superb here. Â The bar is lively, as well as the restaurant area. Â I seen a few of my friends there and everyone was having a good time with other friends. Â It also seems like a great place to hold a business meeting or to meet new clients. Â Well done Twigs!
Review Source:Went here for lunch on a weekday @ about 11:45 and got right in. Â I like the spacing of the seating. Â There is actually room to feel like you have some relative privacy IF you get a booth. Â
Based on the menu and my wife's order, this is another quality restaurant choice in the Tri Cities. Â I ordered the Cobb Salad and have to say I was disappointed. Â They try to fancy it up somehow, but a Cobb should just be a Cobb - they way you expect all Cobbs to be. Â It was decent but chuck full of fresh mushrooms, which might be great if you like mushrooms, but these were the dominant feature of the salad - yuck. Â My wife ordered the blackened chicken sandwich which she loved.
Pros: Lots of potential - I need to go back and try something different.
Cons: Â Pricey for lunch. Â Expect to pay $30+ for two.
Took my Wife here for her Birthday. We had lunch and decided to both order Pizzas and share them. She went for the Bacon Jam, and I for the Pear Gorgonzola. Both were excellent, and we had enough left over to have for dinner. Menu prices seem to be all over, but you can eat well for reasonable if you want. Interior is nice, love the fire in the center. This place is BUSY, even in the afternoon. Service was average. I will come back to try their Happy Hour special of Kahlua Pork tacos and Classic Mojito. Love me a good Mojito!
Review Source:Not a fan of chain restaurants, but considering that most of the restaurants don't try to provide good food, good service, atmosphere... I have to cave. Â This place ha a great late night happy hour. Â Wasn't crowded the night we went. Â Had excellent food, drinks and service. Will definitely be going back.
Review Source:I kept hearing that the burgers at Twigs were the best in the Tri-Cities. Â I couldn't believe that since we have a lot of burger joints in town. Â Once I found myself at Twigs ordering their "Signature Burger" and winding up in my mouth, OMG!!! Â No joke people, if you want the BEST BURGERS IN TOWN go to Twigs and order their "Signature Burger" Â It's fresh, juicy, and large! Â They also make a lot of other great menu items.
One other note, the interior of this place is unreal! Â I would have to say Twigs is the best looking place in the Tri-Cities.
I've been here for both lunch and dinner and I can say I'm very happy Tri-Cities has another great place to get drinks.
The turkey BLT wrap was amazing. Typically, whenever I order a turkey sandwich it's usually bone dry and a little tough. This turkey melted in my mouth and had a great fresh taste. The crab mac and cheese had a lot of crab in it and it wasn't drenched in sauce so you could actually appreciate the taste.
I wasn't too impressed by the crab and artichoke dip. It wasn't awful but it was a little spicy. Also the fries had a little bit of kick to them. As someone who doesn't like anything spicy I opted to not eat the fries. I also didn't like the taste of the bistro chicken. The chicken was nice and tender but the sauce that tasted too sweet seemed like an after thought and was dumped on the chicken making it hard to find what was and wasn't chicken. They also put the sour cream chive and mashed potatoes on top of the chicken and it was covered by the sauce instead of being separated from the chicken
However, my favorite thing about this place is the martini's. They have 36 different martini's to choose from and every single one look delicious. No, I haven't tried them all but the ones I have drank are yummy with the right balance of sweetness and vodka. I wish I could do a martini lunch everyday!
P.S. They have a private room in the back that you can reserve for a party.
I was debating whether to give this a a 3 star or a 4 star... because really, it's a great place to have in Kennewick. Â It really caters to the younger 21-35 age range. The ambience is good and the menu sounds delicious. The drinks were amazing! Â We came here for a girls night out as the 4 of us were reuniting after SUCH a long time. In the end I decided on 2, because after writing this review, I just realized how poorly the restaurant handled us...
Our server, Heather, was super aloof and kept bringing us wrong drinks, was ridiculously slow, and we hardly got any attention from her. Â She was too busy with the men's table behind us. We got to the point where if we wanted another drink, we needed to order it as soon as she brought one round because it takes 20-30 minutes for each round to come. We were really understanding when we arrived because it was packed and busy. But around 8:00 or so, the place cleared out and we were one of the only tables still there. Â Finally, later on we decided to close the tab at our table and move to the bar so that we'd get more attention, only to order one drink and then have last call be announced...
Twigs lost another star for the food. Now the menu looks amazing and there were a lot of things we wanted to order. Â We ordered the chicken satay with pineapple salsa and it was delicious! It came down to the last skewer and my friend and my sister decided to share it so they split it down the middle lengthwise only to discover it was completely RAW in the center! We of course sent it back and they comped us on an appetizer. The manager came by once to make sure we were raging about the raw chicken... which we weren't. We handled it pretty well. We come from the hospitality industry--our whole table-- so we knew customer cases where they basically start kicking and screaming when you don't get their order right. Â We didn't do that. And yet, they still gave us crappy service. That was a major disappointment.
And finally, this was my fault for not reading the menu carefully, but the Margherita Pizza wasn't tasty... it was overly garlicky from spreading minced garlic all over the crust. There was no tomato sauce, but instead tomato slices on top. Â I went to Naples so I assumed it would be like it should be--tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and basil. Â This version is not good at all.
The best thing I can say for this place is that the drinks are amazing and the bartender was great. Â Other than that, Twigs needs to work a little harder to please its female customers.
[Solid 3.5 Stars with Sumara (our server) giving the extra 1/2-star for 4.]
Once again it's amazing to witness how deprived and desperate we are for new restaurants in the Tri-Cities. Â All I've been hearing about is how Twigs is the new place to see and be seen. Â I naturally put off checking out this joint because of that. Â But finally made an appearance there recently. Â
It was (surprise, surprise) crowded, so instead of waiting for a table, my friend and I set our destination for the bar. Â Luckily there were a few high tables in there, and we grabbed one. Â Our lovely server for the evening was Sumara. Â Sumara made the experience for me. Â Overall, I'd say Twigs was so-so and average, but it's just so good to see how a server can make an experience all the better.
First up: Â Drinks
I was surprised to see some unique drinks on the list. Â I'm not a huge martini fan, but yes, they do have quite a line up. Â I started off on the pre-prohibition tip and wanted to see their take on an old fashioned; Â it was decent, nothing extraordinary...meaning, I coulda made one similar or better. Â For a second round, I went with a huckleberry lemondrop. Â This was also fairly decent. Â I'm spoiled when it comes to cocktails (i.e. I've been to some great bars and can make a decent libation myself). Â Anyway, I'd say they get points for atleast offering offerings which aren't on the Tri-Cities circuit.
My friend went with some beers and had a couple of what they had on tap. Â There tap selection was average.
Next: Â Food
I went with the ahi wrap. Â I had it fairly rare (as it's meant to be). Â This was pretty good. Â It wasn't super seasoned, but it was good nonetheless. Â
Service:
As I said, we lucked out with Sumara. Â She was funny, psychic (she knew what I wanted...or maybe she has The Force), and kept our drinks/food coming.
Overall, this is an ok place. Â It's fancy inside. Â It's sort of a carbon copy of some of the other chain restaurants we have in our town. Â I guess this formula works because all these chain restaurants are generally packed here in the Tri-Cities. Â If you happen to be in the mall (kill me now), then this would be a good option.
Oh Tri-Cities, always so excited over a new place...even when it's anticipating the opening of Texas Roadhouse.
If you can't find an entree you like at Twig's then you don't like food. Â I had the Jamaican Ahi Tuna, my co-worker had Mac and Cheese with Bacon and Crab - both were great. Â Appetizers were good too - I loved the bruschetta. Â A good place for interesting cocktails that seem to rotate as well.
The waitstaff seem new and are still getting used to the menu and getting experience with serving, so I think us and our common restaurant goer and joking/sarcastic attitudes were a little off-putting for our waiter. Â Also, there is consistently a wait during dinner any day of the week that I've seen since this place is still new and exciting to many.
Worth a try but not a place I make a point of going to every time I'm in the Tri-Cities.
Also, twice when I've been here a co-worker has ordered virgin drinks because she actually likes them but can't really handle the alcohol. When asking for a virgin mojito she was told "we don't do virgins." Â Interpret that how you will. Â She got an iced tea instead.
I've been here three times (seems to be a trend!) for lunch, with different combinations of friends and family. Â The "Pros" - awesome decor (cross 1964 cocktail lounge with a little NASA space-age chic), zero wait (at least at lunch), and a staff that is enthusiastic and seems genuinely happy to be there. Â Cons - none really, except that the hostess the third time tried to seat us at the table nearest the entrance, even though there were plenty of other tables available - why do they do that?!) Â Kudos to Eric the Waiter - just the right amount of attention, humor, and professionalism. Â
The food has been consistently tasty and well presented. Â The portions are decent-sized, and the menu is so diverse it's hard to decide what to try next. Â One suggestion; more mahi mahi on the Argentinian Fish Tacos. Â I concur with a fellow reviewer - the "drunken donuts" are out of this world. Â Twigs - thanks for coming to the Tri-Cities. Â Now you just need to build a second location out in the Richland Queensgate area. Most importantly, Â I promise never to use the word "yummy" in any of my reviews.
I'd been a fan of Twigs after several visits to one of their Spokane locations and was thrilled when I heard they were venturing down here. Â If you've tried to get in to this place during the evening, I think you'll see exactly why they "branched out" (hah hah) to our area: Â the place is PACKED. Â The TC's obviously needed this place.
Since opening, I've been three times. Â Once for cocktails, once for lunch and once for dinner. Â The first two were five-star experiences. Â I highly suggest the Gimlet with the Elderflower and muddled cucumber. Â My third experience at dinner wasn't as satisfying. Â The service was lacking and the toasted pecan Caesar salad I'd ordered earlier lacked the same amount of dressing, pecans and cheese which made it taste flat in comparison to the one I'd ordered at lunch... which is how I landed at the 4-star.
Other things I'd suggest: Â the steak sandwich is amazing; the pizzas are great; the pulled pork sandwich is delicious, and everything on the happy hour menu is also great. Â Also, the dessert menu is awesome.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Â I'll probably just avoid the dinner hour until things have calmed down.
Gorgeous bar, which is half the size of the entire space. Decor is very appealing & makes you want to go home & redecorate. Have been there 2 times now, once for happy hour & once for dinner. Both times the place was PACKED, which only goes to show how desperate Tri-Cities is for some good dining options.
Trip #1 = happy hour. Half a dozen appetizers to choose from, chose 4 & none impressive. Nachos actually were pretty terrible. Their drink selection is extensive however & VERY reasonably priced. Tons of martinis, each one more tempting than the next.
Trip #2 = So busy that the service was lacking. Friendly, just MIA. Tried calamari, artichoke dip & fish tacos. All were tasty, especially dip which had a great hint of spice to it. The downside is it seems like they are trying too hard to be kitschy and mod and the execution leaves the dish lacking. Drunken donuts however were warm & tasty!
Overall = Will be trying again, great place for some post work relaxation. It's like a bite of Seattle transplanted into the mall ;) As tacky as that sounds, I'm sure come Christmas shopping, this place will be packed to the gills.
