Two Eighty Three

Rocks.

I visited 283 on the best night of all: Halloween. I (dressed as Julie Powell á la Julie & Julia), Cruella de Vil, a Malagasy villager, Japanese tourist, monk and Maid Marian wandered into this long, narrow space, greeted with loud music, goth lighting and $2 Colt 45s. The bathroom line was painfully long, although abated by the visual entertainment.

Cheap drinks. Dark lights. Loud tunes.

283 is the ONLY bar on this side of Athens.  If you know what I mean, then you know what I mean.  It's a great mix of jammin' dance parties and a  local's bar.  Bartenders are cool and the space feels old-school.  They have the best DJ's, like DJ Alfredo, DJ Cut a Rug, Cut a Bitch and others.  The parties are crazy cool.  

I think they even have a happy hour for dogs!
