Upper Deck Tavern

Garrick and I used the first coupon out of this year's new Entertainment Book yesterday at the Upper Deck. I had been here before, so I knew what to expect. This is a bar that serves pretty good food.

When I had been on prior occasions, I had always ordered off of the special's menu, and everything phenomenal for the price. Yesterday, there weren't any specials that appealed to me, so I ordered Chicken Chunks off of the regular menu. I also got a tossed salad so I could have the Creamy Garlic salad dressing. mmmmmm Garrick ordered a Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burger.

Mine was frozen chicken tenders, probably from GFS or Sysco that had been cut into pieces. I asked for Hot Garlic sauce, and it wasn't great. A little vinegary and not very flavorful. I remembered from my last visit that the BBQ sauce was homemade, so I asked for a side of that.

Garrick's burger was hand pattied and cooked well. His bun came grilled, so he was thrilled! I had a Pepsi served in Coke glass, and Garrick ordered a Guiness which he wasn't given a glass for, so it was tough to drink with the floaty thingy inside.

All in all the visit was good. Service is efficient and mostly friendly but not overly so. In the future, I would ordered specials or things that have to be grilled. That seems to be where the talent lies in the kitchen.
