Yeah, there's an outdoor patio...but that's the only good element of this spot. Its close to the parking area so its like a bear trap for the aloof.

Full of large families with unruly kids, fat elderly peeps, and slow elderly servers.

Don't come here, hungy. Yikes...it seriously took 30 minutes to get a menu.....wtf?! I bounced.

Cute place. Dreadful food.

Oops we didn't read the reviews before coming here. Too hungry and too excited to find a place with outdoor seating. Our mistake! All of you yelpers were right! We tried baked mushrooms which consisted of canned mushrooms covered in prego sauce and cheese baked in the oven. The mushrooms weren't even warm! Caprese salad was oily and the basil was wilting. My man's chicken parm was clearly frozen chicken and the pasta was so overlooked it was laughable. The beer however, the beer was good.

This tiny old school family place is really taking a hit here on Yelp, but I have to compliment their Trenton-style thin-crust brick oven pizza.

Villa Vito is nothing fancy but right in the center of town next to the canal, with an Irish bar below it and lots of beckoning signs outside, not sure if it is the same family or not.

What caught our attention was the tomato pie advertised, though it wasn't actually on the menu once we sat down (in a darkened warren that was the small dining room, with the bathroom upstairs). Another thing that caught our attention was that they were open on a Xmas Eve during the day, when our mostly-plant-eating group was starving and left disappointed by the menu at Triumph since they have taken all the vegan stuff off of it.

The menu is mostly pizza and sandwiches, but the small pie is only $10 and can feed two. But the owner bumped into the server, who dropped some of our pie, so they made us another. And we ate it all! Well, not the stuff from the floor. :-) It is great with spinach on top, but there are tons of other toppings. Remind them to avoid the few shakes of parmesan that often come on a tomato pie.

I am grateful to Lori and Tony Z for introducing me to the concept of tomato pie years ago. :-)

The waitress was sweet, but the restaurant doesn't deserve even 1 star. Someone needs to nominate them for Kitchen Nightmares! We wish we would have read the reviews first. Everything was wrong.. the kids pasta had to be sent back to be "microwaved", there was an onion in the water glass, the pizza has to go back because it had the wrong ingredients, the motz sticks were still frozen and the final disaster was the ROCK hard meatballs! They too most likely were brought from freezer temperature to refrigerator status; which is by no means acceptable, and therefore was removed from our check. Please stay away

Just keeping my promise to the owners of this restaurant (tourist pit). I'm the person who owns a bar and grill in Kansas City who promised to never return to you building. I'm also the person along with my wife, daughter and sin-in- law who was thrown out of my first restaurant or bar in any country including the time I served in the US Navy Submarine Service. Service was as good as it could be as the manager was berating the server as she tried to do her job. The food was stupid and I'm betting it was packaged fare. Go at your on risk for me and mine we will never return.

Awful place. Should've known when every place in New Hope was crowded and this place was empty. The waitress raved about the tomato pie. Clearly, she's never been to New York or Philly, since sweet tomato sauce on flat bread is not authentic. Friends ordered baked mushrooms - it was canned mushrooms with sauce and cheese. Not good. The only good thing about out was that they could seat our party of 10 without a wait. Not recommended.

Slightly dirty. Less than average food. Poor decor. Mediocre service. Don't go.

Poor experience. $45 I'm not getting back

Calamari app was passable, asparagus and bleu cheese salad was dinky for $6 but interesting. From there it went downhill fast. Like other commenters, service was sorry, our server would disappear for streches. When we did catch a glimpse, she was being berated by the owner(?) who did little more than harrass his employees. Wait staff seemed to have no direction whatsoever.

Caesar salads (shrimp and chicken) were flat out horrible. Dressing tasted like they look a 1/2 empty jug of Sysco and added water to stretch in out. Flat out bland and tasteless. When our water ran out, we were refilled with what tasted like lukewarm dishwater.

Server let us sit for 15 min before coming to get the check.

Shame really, their patio out back is a nice little setup.

With all of the great places in New Hope- don't bother with this one!

I am still not convinced that there wasn't a hidden camera somewhere. There is noooo wayyyy a place could suck this bad.

We had to catch a 5pm train 2mins away on the New Hope railroad. With well over an hour we decided to have a drink & bite to eat before we departed.

I would love to tell you about the food but can't because we were never able to eat anything but a quick salad & my kids shoved some garlic bread down their throat as we stood trying to pay & get the hell outta there! BTW- the ordering circumstances were SO ridiculous I won't even try to explain... still in disbelief!

Everyone working there seemed confused, angry & pissed off if they had to do anything. & I mean anything! Like take an order or give us the check!!

I guess things happen for a reason because seeing the kitchen area- I don't think eating here would have been wise. Yuck!

We have never given less than a 20% tip - here we gave 15 & that was being extremely generous.

The only saving grace was the cute outdoor patio area where we sat & relaxed from a busy day. Hardly makes it worth coming back. NEVER again.

It stunk; burnt pizza, lousy, confused service; no management!! Great location, could be a gold mine, but needs someone to run it. I should have read the reviews first!

I only had an appetizer there, which was nothing spectacular, but I can tell you that it was the worst service I have maybe ever received. Unfortunately I left my shopping bag at my table when I left. When I called the next day I was told that they have it and they will put it behind the desk for me to pick up. I went back to retrieve it and not only was it not there, but I was completely blown off by an extremely rude woman who was apparently the manager. She made is VERY clear that she had absolutely no interest in helping me or making any effort whatsoever to locate my bag. Since then I have called and emailed them with not one response.
While I can't say alot about the food here, I can say that the employees of this place are rude, unpleasant, and apparently thieves.

UUUUhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....Nnnooooooooooo....

The worst Italian food we ever had...
Don't Go..
I had the Chicken Marsala special..(It was Memorial day weekend), it had started raining in new Hope and they became busy, clearly something they were not use to (being busy) panic sat in in the place.
When my chicken arrived it was barely Luke-warm, and very definitely not fresh, the mushrooms had turned black.
the next day I came down with a food poisoning, I just had a bad suspicion I got it at Vito's
Of-cause I can not confirm that, but i am 99.9% sure...
because I did not eat anything else suspicious that day...

Hugs and Kisses
but,
don't go...

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. The service flat out sucked. The food was inedible. I couldn't even eat it. We asked for beers And had to repeatedly ask because no one would get the beer. Staff appear very confused. Stay away from this place And don't waste your time or money.

THis place could use a "Restaurant Impossible" but I doubt they could even help this place.

Wish I had read the reviews before we sat down to eat here. We sat in the so-called "Irish pub" downstairs, which has the same menu as the main restaurant aside from a few ostensibly Irish-pub style sandwiches. I had a bad feeling almost immediately, but it was already too late. Thankfully this lead me to order something that was relatively safe (fried ravioli). I also tried the asparagus, onion, and blue cheese salad, thinking well heck. let me give them a chance. It was $6 for a salad the size of a bread plate that wasn't terrible but was certainly not worth $6.

About halfway through our meal I noticed that there were some posters hanging on the ceiling above our table. It wasn't too difficult to discover that they were covering up an enormous gaping hole in the ceiling directly above the table.

There are some good restaurants in New Hope... don't waste it on this place.

I see a lot of negative reviews about this place and Im not sure why, honestly!

I went here this past weekend and really enjoyed everything!

I thought the service was really nice and my chicken parm was absolutely delicious!

New Hope is filled with a lot of hustle and bustle on the weekends, this place was a nice quiet get away from all that. I'd give it a shot if you're in the area!

FOOD SUCKED and in New Hope no less! Service was slightly better! There were 4 of us who sat on the back patio and not one of us liked our meal! My cousin's wife sent hers back and had to be talked into getting something else! My girlfriend's baked ziti was "dropped" as per our waitress and it took forever for a replacement! Now after hearing the issues from other Yelpers that the joint was filthy actually makes our experience all that much more special since we sat out back and wasn't able to see what we ate..... YUCK!!!!!!!! Yeah, we won't be going back!!!! There are many other places in New Hope that are much better!!!!! Martine's? The Landing?
Now I know why we were the only ones on a Friday having dinner while it seemed that everyone else was drinking! We should have left the minute I was told they did not have Sam Adams Summer Brew! Really??? Walk to the corner and get something from Dunkins if you are that hungry!!! Did I mention this place sucked?

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty!!!!! Mentioned the table was dirty to the waitress... She brought me windex and paper towels. The wine glasses were filthy. The silverware was filthy. My entree had a hair in it. It came highly recommended.... but unless you bring your own glassware and food, I wouldn't suggest you step foot in there. Oh, I should say the back garden area is somewhat nice though.

We tried this restaurant for lunch while on a bike ride along the adjacent canal. The outside garden looked cool and appealing. Perhaps we were discovering a hidden treasure? No such luck!

I'll cut to the chase. The meal was mediocre. Their "exotic omlette" had fluid running out it, filling the plate and leaving the omlette submerged. The cup of soup was simply pasta laying in some tomato water. The chicken Parma sandwich was all bread. The ice tea tasted like it didn't ever go near a tea bag..

It took forever to get our check and the server overcharged us for the meal and had calculated the tax at 10% ( I suppose it was an easier calculation than the correct tax of 6%.). No apology from the server, I might add. Even worse, the historic train is several hundred yards away and all we heard was ongoing train whistles and the smell of the train drifted over from time to time making the eating area smell like WD40.

Have I shared enough here?

This was probably the worst Italian food I've ever had-so bad it makes chef boyardee look like Mario Batali. The chicken parm I had was like rubber, sauce didn't even taste like tomatoes, and I don't know what the cheese-like substance was. My wife ordered the baked ziti, and I've never seen such a small adult portion; for $8.50, it was hardly worth it. It was also bland.
Beer was also extremely expensive-one bottle of flying fish summer ale (which ironically I was told was the "only winter brew we carry") was $5.50-for two bucks more you can own the whole six pack out of the store.
So all in all, even if you're starving, I would skip this place in favor of anything else-even the dunkin donuts on the corner looked more appetizing and at least you know what you're getting. The only positive was that they were able to get us in and out within 45 minutes to hit the north pole express.

We've eaten here about 3 times - twice with our families and once alone as a couple - the last time we went everything was bland and very "unfilling" which is odd for Italian food. Usually you're stuffed. Anyways, we were actually still hungry after dinner so we went to Giuseppe's Pizza and ordered takeout to bring back to our bed & breakfast!

The food was decent. I had a California cheesesteak. My wife had a salad that she didn't like at all.

We were there probably around 11 AM or so. My complaint was that the server forgot to bring us our check. I didn't mind too much because I wasn't feeling too well and it sort of helped just hanging out on the patio. The table was wobbly though. That was annoying. We thought it was reasonably priced.

I went here for lunch with my boyfriend. It was surprisingly good. There was only one waiter in the place and he was nice and quick. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich was was good. My boyfriend's order actually came out wrong (he ordered a cheesesteak and they gave him a chicken cheesesteak) but he ended up liking it. For the price it was a very satisfying lunch.

Went here once and thought it was OK. My friend and I went to New Hope and realized that most of the restaurants were on the fancier side- not places to go to after walking around for hours in beat up sneakers. So we found this place. I liked it because it was casual and sort of had a homey feel to it, but it definitely could use a major overhaul. Its kind of falling apart.

The gnocci was good, but doubtfully "home made" as the menu states; and the eggplant platter was decent- though the eggplant was possibly roasted and a little tough. They give you a little salad with your meal, which is mostly iceberg lettuce with a few tomato slices and some asparagus (?). They're definitely not a place to go to if you're looking for an upscale place to eat, or gourmet food- but we left with full bellies, so it served its purpose.

If they would fix it up a bit, hire more attentive staff and bring up the food quality just a little it could be a really cool place.

Try the http://restaurant.com certificate. The plain pizza and chicken parm is okay. The pesto was pretty good, The vito special pizza with all the toppings is terrible and deserves to be taken off the menu. The toppings on the pizza were not cooked appropriately and the waiter brought the remaining toppings on a separate plate which the chef left off the place,

This is a good place for little kids but a bad place or great Italian food.

If you want an okay place this place will do.

The wait staff is okay and very casual.

Late lunch. Crowds gone. I had the patio to myself most of the time I was there. Lovely weather. Pet friendly outdoors. Wish I had my dogs with me!

One server. A young lady. Excellent. She took care of inside patrons and me outside with attentive and polite flair.

Caprisi Salad best I have ever had.

Very reasonable prices.

I really enjoyed my meal and my brief stay. Don't miss this spot when you're in New Hope!

We went here for a bachelorette party. we called a month ahead to pick out a family style meal and reserve a table for 20. my friends sister in law knew the owner so they were gonna hook us up with apps and dessert. It was such a busy night in new hope that the resturant had to ask friends/fam to help out. i tried to keep that in mind. but the person we spoke to the whole time we planned the event wasnt there that night and we didnt get the exact food we had planned. some was the same, not all. the service was pretty bad. they served us food before bringing us plates. then they brought us little plates for the main meal and we made them switch for bigger ones. then we waited for 30 min 4 the check. and we didnt get the dessert we were told we would. the food was good - nothing special. they did reserve us two parking spots which was nice. but i wont be going back.

Nope. Not very good Sorry - even though it's been around for-eh-ver, the food is just OK. (Italian "red sauce" fare) and the place needs an overhaul. I guess what makes it so awful for me is that a spider spun her web down onto my plate while I was eating there. There was dust and cobwebs in the windowsill and that spider just clinched it for me.

I couldn't even finish my baked ziti.

Won't return.

Not too shabby. Waitress was curt -- in a delightfully diner-esque way -- and even had my back when my niece didn't want to eat lunch. I really should have had the ravioli, considering the many varieties on the menu and the fact it seemed to be a house specialty, but the niblings and I settled on the fried variety, which I rarely see and so order whenever I find them. Pizza was perfectly thin, but the fries were obviously generic frozen and the ranch sauce had an unfortunate aftertaste. Beautiful patio that I'm sure would have added another star if I'd been there at night.

This Italian & American family restaurant is run by the Favoroso family. It's about 36 years old. It's near Triumph brewery, and downstairs is the Saluta Bistro and Bar. There's not a huge amount of space inside this casual spot, but that just means you need to lean into your fellow diners to have a private conversation - or lean back if you want to eavesdrop on someone else!

My friend took a few of us here for dinner awhile back. Their Italian fare is good, solid cooking. Everything we had, from the lasagna to the sausages, was delicious. Our server (Teresa) was a pleasure and even gave us free cheesecake - I think my friends knew her, though! Stop in for a casual, tasty meal that won't break the bank.
