One of he worst things about vin-tich is the bouncers. they act like they own the place. Â secondly you cannot sit anywhere unless you have bottle service and hookah and the bar is ALWAYS crowded. I've been here twice because we had (my cousin and i) VIP seating and we didn't have to pay for anything only coat check 3$. but i wouldn't go there and waste my money
Review Source:We went on a Wednesday night - arrived after 1:30am so there was a $20 cover charge. Â
I was disappointed when my homegirl informed me that DJ ProStyle was djing - terrible DJ - avoid any of his parties if possible. Being that ProStyle was djing the music was horrible - hip-hop for an hr straight- BORING!
The crowd was OK - not your average Saturday crowd.
The place is pretty big, but since they have tables all over the place it appears smaller.
My biggest problem - they do NOT take credit - everything is cash - NOT cool.
This is your quintessential spot where people from uptown go just to look cool. If you've been here before you'll see a lot of the same faces. The place gets packed but there's no room to do anything but just stand at your table smoke hookah and drink while you listen to music. There's no room to dance unless it's by yourself in place. The waitresses are attractive, on point and friendly. They've really gotten quite hood recently letting guys wear just about whatever they want into the club. The music isn't my scene so I can't knock them for that but As packed as this place gets with not much seating I don't know why people enjoy coming here.
Review Source:DO NOT GO HERE! Don't bother...trust me this place is not worth your time. If I could give zero stars I would but unfortunately one star is the lowest rating possible on yelp. I came here last Friday for my best friend's birthday celebration. We purchased 2 bottles for $100 each which is a great deal but their service sucks. The cocktail waitress was too busy on her cell phone to get us a third bottle. From the minute we walked in Vin-Shit had 3 body guards outside. Two guys checked my id. I dunno why they need 2 men to check the same id but ok. Then I walked and a lady patted me down like I had a weapon hidden in my bra. She really got a good feel. I felt so violated but I thought its my friend's bday...lets make the best of the night. Vin-Shit has no dance floor. It has a small space filled with tall round tables with plastic covers on them. Weird! The music was a mixture of hip hop, reggaeton, and spanish music which I like. After three hours of trying to enjoy Vin-crap, taking pictures with my girls, and joking around...my best friend/ the birthday girl ended up in the emergency room. Apparently, while she was taking a group picture she accidently bumped into someone behind her and the girl punched my bff in her face. Everything happened so quickly but what pissed me off was that the security ended up kicking her out and not the other girl that hit her. This lounge is ghetto and be ready to wear a bullet proof vest or your boxing gloves.
Review Source:From what I was told this is the new SPOT uptown...when I got here I was not impressed. First off the security should have taken me out to dinner before the pat down he gave me and then there was a dude with a wand to follow that up. When u get inside it's a decent space but there's a sign behind the bar that says "no dancing" not sure what that was about but they definitely do a good job of covering up what would be the dance floor by cramming as many tables as they can into the space.
One thing I'll give them was bottle service was great - $100 bottle of Goose- and they had cool lights on the wall but other than that it was raining outside and inside the lounge and the DJ was just ok.
Definitely won't be coming back here.
Slightly overpriced for what looks like a hole in the wall in my opinion. Had a good time while there for a friends birthday. Security guards opened my lipgloss and smelled it- made me feel as if I were going into a court house. Music was mixed well that Friday night. Would not ever be in a mood to say "I want to go to Vin-Tich", but I would go if invited for a bday.
Review Source:Went for a friend's birthday on a Monday. $20 cover. 6 guys looking to enjoy bottle service, hookahs, and good music to dance with girls.
That's exactly what happened.
Servers were attractive, attentive, and nice.
DJ was good. A little too much salsa for my liking though.
Some salsero performed too.
-1 star for the bouncer who was wayyyy too frisky. He might have winked too.
-1 star for the annoying Ucha (host). Let the music play. We don't need to hear about your 10 upcoming events every 4 minutes.
A bit overpriced. This isn't a club in the MPD so don't charge like it.
Take it for what it is: a slightly overpriced Hispanic/Dominican hookah lounge in upper Manhattan.
Do not waste your time here.
Bottle very expensive
Place looks very lame and they charge like its Meat Parking District.
C`mon!!! on my bday i went here and me and a friend went out to walk our girlfriends to their car. Guess what? of course we had checked in our mandatory stamp on hand.. The bouncer made us do the line again.. i mean... SERIOUSLY!!! server was not very nice neither. My bday was only good because of the people i went with but the place didn`t make it special. And on top of everything i went to see my friend playing the drums and 20 minutes into the show, someone starts a fight. *GREAT* Just what i needed for my bday.
i don`t think ill ever go there again.
After meeting up with a bunch of old girlfriends, we wanted to go out and have a good time dancing and drinking, without having to go far.
SOOOOOO....apparently Vin-Tich has been creating a buzz in the neighborhood because it was mentioned to us by a couple of friends.
At first I thought the name of the place was VINTAGE...but when we get to the front we were greeted by huge flyers that made us feel like idiots..but umm okay.
Front Door:We were on the line for about 5 minutes, and did not have to pay a cover to get in,,,Guys were being charged $20.
Bar: Â Red Devil is my favorite drink because it gets the job done, and still tastes good...... Â and the one I received here was hardly drinkable.... they even made a hennessy and red bull taste bad =/
This place has a good amount of space however I don't think they have used it to their advantage. Â They have couches along the wall, and a stage kinda fenced off area I'm assuming for what they call the VIP?????(smh this word has no significance anymore)...and then tables, to stand at, allover the floor, which does not allow for a central dance floor. Â There were a lot of birthday celebrations going on that night.
What bothered me the most about this place is the servers (plural because I'm referring to several of them) need to make anyone not purchasing a bottle feel like they don't belong there.
Scene: Group of 5 girls standing near a table that is "reserved" but empty...one girl places drink on table
Server 1: Â Hey ladies this table is reserved.
Me: Thank you, I am well aware as I see the note, but the table is empty now
5 minutes later
Server 2: Â Ladies you cant stay at this table its reserved.
(table is still empty because party has not arrived...nonetheless to avoid any problems, group of girls move to another table with no reservation sign)
Server 3: Â Ladies will you be purchasing a bottle.
Friend: No, thank you.
Server 3: Okay well this table is for those purchasing bottle service.
Friend: Â Okay, is there someone waiting to occupy the table...
Server 3: No.
Friends: Umm okay, so no one is waiting for the table but you still want us to move because?????
Friend 2: Â Lets get a hookah!
Server 4: Â If your not purchasing a bottle we can set up your hookah at the bar...
(Friends agree there is really no space at the bar, and now begin to feel like we are a nuisance)
Annoyed as shyt, group of girls chug drinks and head to coat check, to get the hell out.
The DJ was also not good.
