I was so disappointed when I came here. I used to love coming to this place when it was the Munchaba Lounge -- it always had a nice, welcoming atmosphere. Bobby Newman was, and is, a good friend, and a great supporter of the independent music scene...unfortunately, Vintage Lounge isn't even half of what Munchaba used to be. It's pretentious, faux-hipster, and reeks of Lawn Guy Land attitude. My friend Dee and I came here during karaoke night -- Dee is a classically trained singer, actress, and dancer who has been on Broadway AND in the opera, so she's no slouch in the singing department -- and because she wasn't part of the "in" crowd here, she got mercilessly jeered and heckled, even booed at one point. Meanwhile, the drunk idiot that went on after her -- who humped the leg of nearly every girl in the place -- was cheered on. I found it worse than high school. Definitely not recommended unless you like pretention, faux-hipsters, and holier-than-thou Lawn Guy Land behavior.
